House was extremely clean and well stocked. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen updated with new appliances - large table good for group meals and games. Would stay again when we return to Wild Dunes. Thank you

Beautiful spacious ranch home close to the beach.

This house has recently been updated and is beautiful. It has plenty of room for a large family and is a close walk to the beach. Would stay there again.

Charming comfortable cottage

This cottage has all you need for a relaxing stay. This was my family and I 4th year staying in this cottage and we were very comfortable. Great location with short walk to the beach. The pool was our granddaughter’s favorite activity! We hope to come back again next year.

Very comfortable home

Our stay was very comfortable in this home. The house has everything you will need plus a swimming pool. Location is great just a short walk to the beach and short drive to shops. Cleanliness wasn’t that great after we were there for a couple of days we realized the floors weren’t mopped when we spilled water on the floor and the cloth was very dirty after wiping it up. Overall it’s a lovely home and comfortable.

False Advertising

Here are the issues, I'm just going to list them off: 1. Pool area was unkempt and dirty. Pool area funiture was old and dirty/stained/rusty. 2. One set of sliding doors in living room were so foggy you couldnt see out them, and the doors werent functioning. 3. No pot for coffee maker. 4. Smoke alarm batteries died while we were there and started beeping in the middle of the night. 5. Found straight pins in carpet and in bed. 6. Playset advertised is old, rickey and dirty...no way my 3 year old was playing on that even though it was part of the reason we chose this home. 7. Cobwebs in corners/ceilings 8. Kitchen island has been painted over and paint is chipping off. 9. Only ONE tv in the house out of 6 or 7 actually connected to cable or wifi. Couldn't get any of the others to connect. 10. Was given wrong wifi info at check in. Finally found a sign in the kitchen after we had been there a day with correct info. Very disappointing overall. Photos do NOT indicate what you're getting. Property is just unkempt. The porches and fences outside are filthy, weeds growing through the pool fence. Overall, do not recommend. The management company tried to help and did resolve a few issues (but not all by any means) but never offered a discount or refund. We feel like we wasted our money and that we were totally duped into renting something that is not as it appears in the listing. Definitely will not be back.

One-Level entry

I was impressed with several of the updates for what is a dated property. One of the pluses for this property is everything is on one level, which makes for easy carrying in of suitcases, coolers ect.

Family trip

We were very pleased with the location and the pool was amazing. The washing machine did not work, and local laundromats were extremely expensive. Ease of use and beach access were excellent. Overall fun time.

Perfect house!

This house is perfect for a small family! We didn't use the playground-it looked a little shaky. If you have ANY issues with the pool, contact the OWNER (the phone number to text is on the bullentin board in the kitchen) not Vacasa! Owner is super nice. The home is lovely, it was really great to not have to climb stairs. Short walk to the beach, go to the right to 46th street. We would love to stay here again.

Mosquitos were a problem inside and outside of house.

The house is very comfortable with plenty of room for our family of 6. We love having the private pool and the two pool guys were very professional with their services. The house is beautiful and love the updates since last year when we stayed. Thanks for another wonderful week on the Isle of Palms!! June 2022.

Do Not Stay At This Property

We picked this house because of the pool and the home itself appeared to be really nice, in the photos. The pool was covered with green algae and we were never able to use it. We called every day (Fri-Mon) to ask to have it cleaned. Nobody ever came. VRBO said they couldn’t get in touch with the owners, to approve any cleaning of the pool. The stove top only has one eye that worked, and it was barely working. Kitchen was covered with ants. VRBO did come and place traps, for them. House was filthy. Pacifiers and other items, from previous guests, were left and shoved under beds. Sheets were stained. There was a large rat that took up residence in the back “yard.” The screen door was broken. The sliding glass door was covered with some type of film. This house has a lot of potential, if the owners would keep up with it and put in working appliances. It does not look like the photos. We were very disappointed and would not recommend this home to anyone.

Big house

Big spacious house that had quite a few nice surprises like baby strollers, beach toys, pool floats, high chair, waterproof mattress pad on one of the beds, games, etc. The pool area was very very slippery! There were a few doors that wouldn’t open. The sheets on the beds were really uncomfortable. Nice stay but it was far being down in Wild Dunes.

Disappointed

The pictures online were not what it looked like, false advertising. The house was not clean. We had to report the pool was not usable. Cleaning people need to be checked on and maintenance people too. Someone from agency needs to make sure the property is ready for next renters.

Great Family House

House is a short walk to the beach and is fully-equipped with baby gear - port-a-crib, high chair, swing, and strollers. Each bedroom has a TV and there is also a TV in the family room. Sliding glass doors from kitchen and living room make it easy to watch the pool area!

Loved it

Property was well kept and cozy. We loved the lay out of the house. The pool was nice after a day at the beach and for late evening swims. We would definitely rent this property again.

Had a great time on Abalone Alley. Perfect location on the island. Communicating questions or concerns was a challenge. Listing under explained what was available at the house for use and questions were not quickly answered by Vacasa team.

Nope Not The One

We made a reservation through VRBO for a condo on the beach but then received notification that the elevators would be down the entire week. I asked if there was a condo on the first floor, but was told one was not available. The rental company offered to let us stay in a house with a private pool that was a couple blocks from the beach. We chose to stay in the house at 4 Abolone Aly. The house is spacious but very outdated. The furniture in the living areas is old and uncomfortable. The first night We noticed our king bed was broken and leaned to one side. The pool had algae in it and the back patio was covered with leaves. Poison Oak was growing all around the back patio. I had to call the management company several times before someone came over to clean the pool and fix the bed three days later. The playset in the back yard was also covered in poison ivy and it is in really bad shape. The mosquitos were awful! We bought tiki torches and mosquito spray and sprayed the entire perimeter of the pool area so we could sit outside. The house has a dank & musty smell and the walls are dirty and marked up. It do not recommend this property as a relaxing or pleasant place to stay for vacation. It could be a great place if the owners took better care of it, put a fresh coat of pain on the walls, purchased new living and dining furniture, replaced the kitchen counter tops, purchased new bed spreads, removed the poison Ivy from the back yard, cut back the overgrowth all around the house including the large trees.
