A pochi passi dalla spiaggia, Second Wind è un angolo di paradiso in terra! Le viste sull'oceano abbondano in questa casa con 5 camere da letto sopraelevata. L'interno è aperto e arieggiato con molto spazio per la famiglia e gli amici. La luce naturale inonda l'interno di questa casa mantenendolo luminoso e soleggiato tutto l'anno! Lo spazio del portico è perfetto per godersi la brezza marina dopo una giornata di divertimento sotto il sole!

Il primo livello ha una pianta aperta con pavimenti in legno in tutto. La cucina sfocia nella sala da pranzo e nel soggiorno con built-in su entrambi i lati del camino. Il soggiorno si apre su un ampio portico schermato completo di sedie a dondolo Adirondack che si affacciano sull'oceano. Fuori dal soggiorno, troverete un wet bar e una lavanderia di grandi dimensioni con accesso esterno per una maggiore comodità!

Questa casa dispone di 5 camere da letto e 3 1/2 bagni. Al primo piano, il maestro con un letto matrimoniale ha un bagno privato. Due ampie camere da letto - una con due regine, e l'altra con un divano letto e una regina - condividono un bagno completo.

Salite le scale per trovare altre due camere da letto, un'incantevole camera a castello e la suite principale. Questa camera da letto ha un balcone privato esterno con vista sull'oceano, un'enorme cabina armadio, un muro di built-in per riporre e libri, e un bagno padronale con una grande vasca da bagno, doccia e doppio lavabo. I just wanted to share our recent experience at a property that we booked last-minute. We were lucky to find it, and it turned out to be a great fit for our needs. Although we had never stayed on this island before, we were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience.The property is conveniently close to the beach, although it's worth noting that there's a decent walk through the sand to get to the ideal spot for setting up. This might be something to consider if you have older folks with you. It's located a couple of miles from town, which means it's nice and quiet—perfect for those who prefer a more peaceful setting. However, if you're looking to be closer to restaurants and shops, you'll need to drive.One of the great perks we found was the abundance of beach towels available in the half bath closet, so there's no need to bring your own. Additionally, there's access to the garage, which features a ping pong table—a fun touch that we really enjoyed.Overall, it was a good visit, and we would definitely consider staying there again.

Well Located and Well Appointed

Property is well located, near amenities and restaurants at Wild Dunes, and steps from the beach. We enjoyed relaxing with the dogs and the entire family from both the covered and screened in porches

perfectly appointed home for a family vacation

We have stayed at Second Wind before. The house has everything needed for a family beach week. The new appliances are fantastic. The yard and house was very clean. The five bedrooms are spread out for privacy.

Family Vacation

The house was perfect for our family. However, we had a continual problem with one of the alarms that sounded in the early morning hours between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. Despite daily calls to the property management company they were unable to resolve the problem.

A Spectacular Week

Extraordinary all-around, we wish this week had been a month. Sunrise walks on the beach, coffe-sipping on the breeze filled screened-in porch with an ocean view, healthy meals prepared by the adults in a fully-stocked kitchen and shared around the table, one family upstairs and one family downstairs, all comfortable and peaceful. A spectacular week!

House was beautifully furnished, location very convenient to beach, dog friendly, real estate agent helpful. Porch very nice for sitting and listening to the waves. Only slight downfall was neighbors barking dogs.

Fall getaway

This house is in a beautiful and peaceful location on a quiet street with easy beach access and very nice landscaping. The property management was excellent and responsive. The house was ready when promised and check in and out was easy. The house is very well suppled and equipped - definitely exceeding expectations. We like to eat in and cook and the abundant supples were appreciated. Cleanliness on the surface was adequate. A few suggestions: The grill was not particularly clean and not working properly - difficult to start and not fully heating. It probably is due for replacement. We would have liked an outdoor table and some outdoor seating on the abundant decks. The screened in porch is very nice but could also use a table and some additional furnishing. Overall a positive experience for us at the house and recommended without hesitation.

The good, the bad, and the ugly

Nice location. Had trouble getting door code to work but they were very quick at getting us a code that would. I appreciated the quick response to any questions prior to arrival. Everyone has different needs so what matters to us might not be a big deal to others. Our issues- we could not get the electric cooktop to cook well. Even scrambling eggs was an issue. We just had to give up cooking on top. Oven works. Not all dishes were clean- one glass had obviously just been rinsed and some of the silver wear was dirty so we ended up washing everything prior to use. All Guests in spare rooms felt the beds were in need of replacing. Upstairs has a balcony off master but no chairs to sit and enjoy the view unless we wanted to drag kitchen chairs upstairs. It rained a lot on our trip so we played corn hole in garage area. That area is gross! Yes it’s a garage but this one has a bench so obviously they know people hang out down there. And one thing to take not of- You cannot access the house from the garage. You must walk out and up stairs to get into house. Not a big deal unless it’s raining. The biggest issue was roaches. We only saw a few inside the house but outside was not good! Shoes, ice chest, bags- we could not leave anything out without roaches all over it. In saying all of that, I’ve stayed in worse, I’ve stayed in better. It’s just hard to spend what I feel is a lot of money and not love where you stayed. Everything I’ve shared is fixable. Could be a great place.

Great location, close to beach

This house was in an awesome location on IOP! Beach was not crowded at all. The house was just a few steps from the beach path and had a nice beach view from the screened in porch. The house itself had a nice layout and good bedroom space. Could use a bit of TLC, the wood floors were very scratched up, and there was a good bit of dirt under furniture etc. Apparently most appliances will be replaced, a new refrigerator was just put in, and a new stove/range is on the way. Top dishwasher rack was broken, and the gas grill outside was barely functional. I’ve paid a lot less for a week at nicer/better kept houses. You are paying for the location when you rent this home.

Excellent house with great amentities

The house was just wonderful. We will come back! The House is well appointed. Two refrigerators! When we come back we will not need to bring any kitchen or beach gear. Great vacation spot. The only negative is with the property managers. The house was not ready on check in day until 5:30PM. So all 11 of us had to wait for cleaning. The oven and refrigerator needed repairs and were not repaired during our stay.

Great family vacation place!

As a Charlestonian who lives away, my return to the Ocean is critical! This is the best beach home we’ve visited in over 40 years of return. This was a home with all the comforts and necessities of life with several generations and a beloved Yorkie! We ranged in age from 78 to 3! It’s much closer to the ocean than many “ocean front” houses. The view is great and the neighborhood seems partly year round residential which contributes positively to the atmosphere. The owners obviously love this home! There are books, puzzles , card games, colored pencils and crayons! The kitchen is excellent! We made peach cobbler and jambalaya! My grandson cried when it was time to go and we all promised to get this house next year and forever!
