Escape to Goat Island, a boat-access-only waterfront retreat just across from Isle of Palms. This cozy 2BR + loft home offers Intracoastal Waterway and marsh views, multiple outdoor living areas with TVs, a private dock with covered pierhead and seating, and the peaceful serenity that comes with island life. Relax on rocking chairs, watch the sunrise, or fish off the dock. Perfect for couples, families, or small groups seeking a unique Lowcountry getaway.

The Space:

Welcome to your Goat Island Getaway — a peaceful, off-grid-style waterfront retreat along the Intracoastal Waterway, just across from Isle of Palms. Accessible only by boat, this home offers a true Lowcountry experience: breezy porches, rocking chairs, fishing off your private dock, and uninterrupted marsh views.

Inside, the cozy interior features two bedrooms plus a loft, comfortably sleeping up to four guests. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, while the bunk room is perfect for kids or friends. The open concept floor plan includes full kitchen with eating bar with comfortable living area — perfect for gathering after a day on the water.

Large covered area underneath with rockers and 75” outdoor TV

Private dock/pierhead with seating and another TV

Fish, crab, relax, or watch boats drift by — Goat Island life is all about slowing down and soaking in nature.

Smart TVs, including 75” outdoor TV

Mini-split HVAC (AC and Heat)

Private dock & covered pierhead

Rocking chairs and multiple outdoor seating areas

Water & Conservation:

Entire home runs on a rainwater collection system, triple-filtered and UV-treated — safe for bathing, cooking, and cleaning.

Guests are asked to use water thoughtfully.

Two 3-gallon jugs of purified water for drinking water provided. Guests may bring more as needed.

Access & Arrival:

Boat-access-only property — guest required to provide their own boat transportation to the property. Boat rentals are available at IOP Marina.

Sleeping Arrangements:

Bedroom 1: Queen bed

Bedroom 2: Twin bunk beds

Loft: Open flex space

Maximum occupancy: 4 guests

Guest access:

Guests have full access to the home, porches, decks, and private dock and pierhead. Goat Island is boat-access-only—no cars on the island. Guests arrive via their own private boat or coordinated transportation. Detailed arrival info is provided before check-in.

The host was amazing and the property was exactly as described. We loved having our morning coffee on the porch overlooking the ICW and enjoyed sitting down on the dock as the sun set. It’s a quick boat ride down to the IOP Marina and there are lots of creeks to explore nearby. Our family of four had the best time fishing, throwing the cast net and relaxing on Goat Island! We look forward to staying here again—a perfect getaway spot!
