“I thought the pictures and the price were going to be too good to be true. But they weren’t! The hotel was clean and conveniently located right in downtown bar harbor. We would definitely return! Breakfast was a select menu, but had I think 6 good selections! Better than any continental I’ve been too.”

“Convenient location for the town centre, rich breakfast although very crowded. Children's playground and heated pool. Unfortunately the sound insulation in the rooms is very bad. Do not take rooms on the ground floor because you will hear all the footsteps from the upper rooms and you will sleep poorly.”

While the hotel is a bit dated, it has its own charm and didn’t take away from our overall experience. The breakfast is truly a gem, and Sabina made it even better—she’s absolutely the best!”

“Great location and very friendly staff. The room was in nice condition and very clean. We did notice a very limited amount of hot water in the shower, we could not both take a shower with hot water in the morning. Breakfast selection is very limited as well. Otherwise it's a great little inn. ”

“Amazing accommodations in a great location. Within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, and pier. The condo was comfortable, quaint and spotless — a wonderful place to unwind for the day. Eric and Tim were prompt in responding to my questions about the condo — which was greatly appreciated! We will definitely be back!”

“Saltair Inn is fabulous. Our room was beautiful and had a very cozy feel, with a fantastic view. The hosts were great, and breakfast was terrific. It was within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this B&B and will not hesitate to stay there again.”

“Good hotel overall: clean, spacious rooms, well organized, and a convenient free shuttle to downtown every 15 minutes. Unfortunately, my “ocean view” balcony room was right in front of the air conditioning units and the restaurant’s exhaust chimney. Constant noise and fried food smell made it impossible to sleep well or enjoy the balcony. These rooms should not be priced the same as unobstructed ocean views. Poor management decision that shows little attention to guest comfort.”
