“This was the perfect place with the perfect hosts. Quiet with a spectacular view of the sea and sunrise, it’s slightly elevated on a hill, so there is also an incredible breeze that whispers through all day and night. Heaven. And it’s a short walk to the beach and ALL the restaurants in Platis Gialos.
The hosts were so kind and helpful, filling in the gaps where I sort of dropped the ball due to not understanding how things work there on Sifnos: taxis, rentals, timelines etc.

“This so called villa was dirty , not well kept. No air conditioning. The property was dangerous to drive to. It was out of the way and near a heli port. The location noted on Expedia of Platis Yialos was not accurate. It was no where near it. The villa requested we wire transfer the funds to hold the property months before so there would be no recourse. We left and found rooms elsewhere. Terrible. Lost out deposit of 130o. Euros. The villa requested about 3000 euros for five days...
“Small hotel that is situated on an uphill from the beach in a calm neighbourhood (all of Sifnos is calm though). The staff was very service-minded and the breakfast was the best ever with fresh fruit and fresh pressed orange juice. There was a self-service bar that relied on the guests to pay what we thought was fair, worked great.”
