“One of the worst motel experiences I’ve had. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, visible grime and maintenance issues, damaged fixtures, and an extremely loud AC unit that made the room uncomfortable to stay in. The overall condition felt dirty and poorly maintained.
When we brought up our concerns after returning from dinner, staff was unhelpful and dismissive rather than trying to resolve the situation. Overall a very disappointing experience, and we would not stay at this location again.”

“So I really love this property as it is very close to both the beach and Carlsbad Village. Scandia Motel is cute but could use some upgrades and a thorough cleaning. I have stayed here twice (due to location and price) however it needs to be painted and cleaned.
