Lovely vacation
The beauty of Curacao cannot be beat. We were to have the house at 3pm on March 22. I sent a message to the host from the airport with our arrival time The host came an hour after we did. We received no briefing. The refrigerator and freezer were warm. The host came back and got it going. The coffee maker was poor. Many of the pods were destroyed because it was so finicky. There are 17 steps from the driveway to the main level. The stairs are very short in width and there are NO handrails, very dangerous. When we got there the trash can outside was full. The host said the trash pickup had been delayed due to Carnival, 2 weeks prior. I asked what do with to do with the trash. No reply but later I was told some of the trash had been removed. After 2 days, we realized that the pool lights were on 24/7. One morning we woke up to find the water was almost over the top of the pool. Replies to my concerns were always delayed. There are no proper doors on 3 of the 5 bdrooms wasting Airco and burning electricity. These were minor aggravations. The house was spacious, clean and the pool gorgeous and inviting.
