“John was a wonderful host. Friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts and homemade cookies he provided each day were a treat. The water view is gorgeous. And the location was perfect for us, two retired couples. We spent 4 nights. We originally booked with a VRBO in town. When that host cancelled on us, it was a blessing. We discovered we could book John’s lovely place and a rental car for less than the cost of our original booking in town. We learned quickly, to do as the locals do-to avoid...

“This was a fantastic experience for our large group. Great place, good location proximate to airport, fun neighbors, really kind and thoughtful owner. We loved it. I would stay here again for sure.”

“Unfortunately, our stay at Grandma’s House in Juneau was far from what we expected, and there were enough issues that I would not recommend this property.The property itself also had several concerns. We were told by the locals the house is in a serious flood zone and floods yearly due to glacier-related flooding including the time we booked it in July/Aug so that was a constant worry. The house is also located on a busy street, and traffic noise was significant. There were visible maintenance...
