“The check-in process was confusing as apparently my assigned room was given to another guest. It took a staff of four to figure out what happened but they more than made it up by upgrading to a room with water views.”

“The Alaskan is the oldest hotel and such one needs to recognize its rustic beauty. Great location and helpful staff. Let’s keep this landmark in place, and in it’s current condition!”

“I know Juneau can be pricey so I booked the most reasonable room at $280 plus tax. It was on the first floor, which truly isn’t the first floor. It’s almost like a half basement a bit below the ground level. My room was underneath the deck of the restaurant and was a little claustrophobic. So fine for one night, but not the most ideal aesthetically. Also, there’s not much they can do about it but the road outside could be a bit noisy. But the staff very nice.”

“The facility is new. The staff was unprepared. The room was wrong (1 bed vs 2)! So someone had to sleep on sofa bed. The staff just said 'Oh well this is all we have left tonight.' The only thing good about this place is the location to the airport. if that is all you are looking for then this place probably works but you will NOT have any other good feelings from staying in this location and we were not the only group that you could hear complaining in the lobby!”

“The staff was great. We arrived late at night at the airport and our hotel pickup was great. Just called the hotel and they came and got us. The hotel is dated but clean and neat. Lobby staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was initially a disappointment because we were expecting more but the coffee was good and there were lots of energy bars, yogurt, and instant oatmeal packs so… no excuse to be hungry. The location is very close to the the city bus line which was easy to use… only one...
