“It started by being difficult to get a reply from the owner while booking. On arrival,we were not expected. The owner did arrive, apologised for the mix up and made an effort to clean it, but we just wanted to relax after a 4 hour drive on Christmas Eve. He perhaps didn't have enough time to clean properly because every area was dirty from floors, to shower to kitchen items and the fridge had expired food in it. It also felt uncomfortable with personal items: medications in fridge and legal...

“I really enjoy this cottage....it is clearly loved, and has survived since 1905..through earthquakes etc. It has a wonderful history, is totally private..and is like a quaint country cottage, in the middle of the city. It has all the facilities you might need. Plus an outside bath....fabulous!”

“It was easy access to the accommodation which was spacious and clean. It was simple and we were comfortable. It is in a good location with a bus stop right outside. Frequent buses go to the city center and we could walk to the beach. I highly recommend this little gem.”
