Delightful Property

We loved our time here. It was equipped with everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach gear. I loved sitting on the lanai and watching the ocean, the property was quiet and convenient for everything we wanted to do on the Kona side, the condo clean and comfortable, and lovely to boot. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Perfect short getaway

We were looking for a relaxing place to stay to decompress, near the water but not in a crowded area. This condominium was perfect. We particularly appreciated the clean & comfortable space. We'd definitely come again.

Lovely, comfortable, everything you need

Beautiful condo. The owners have thought of every convenience. Kitchen is as well stocked as we’ve ever seen. The view is gorgeous. We are golfers so really enjoyed watching people tee off right in front of us. We spent so much time out on the beautiful lanai that we wished for a second chaise lounge. Otherwise, pretty perfect!

Kahaluu-Keauhou Jewel

The property exceeded our expectations! The view is exactly as pictured. The unit is more spacious than depicted in the photos. The unit was extremely clean, and the furnishings were very comfortable for 4 adults. The kitchen included everything you would need if you chose not to dine out. One of our top requirements was A/C throughout the rental, and Condo 1502 delivered cool nights along with stable Wi-Fi. The property was quiet. We loved the ocean side pool! We would definitely choose this property should we visit Kahaluu-Keauhou again!

Kanaloa 1502

From the minute we walked in, we could tell we made a great choice. We've stayed at quite a few VRBO properties and this one rates at the top! The listing and description of amenities and the pictures are spot on, cleanliness was superb. Thanks too for the Kona coffee. Sipping coffee and eating our breakfast papayas on the lanai was a great way to start off our morning as well as watching the sunset in the evening- so peaceful and tranquil. We enjoyed the Ocean pool - lots of lounges and relaxing to hear the waves crash against the shore. The only thing I wished was that there was a music system or CD player in the living room. Would be nice to listen to music as we fix meals- but not a deal breaker. This complex is very quiet and well maintained. Thank you Mindy and Don for opening your home to us. We would love to return some day soon. Audrey & Albert C.

Best Stay Ever...so much better than being in a hotel.

My brother and I highly recommend this property. It is convenient to shopping and easy access to my sisters as we celebrated our family reunion at my sister's. I look forward to more future stays at this property. This property is more than I expected.

Very nice condo, great location from Kona Airport

Wonderful condo and price value but no mention of facility removal of curbs with lots of construction noise in the mornings. I was disappointed that this was not mentioned when booking the condo.

Awesome condo with a spacious lanai for the sunsets

This was a great stay in an ideal location close to everything in Kailua-Kona. Best snorkeling was 4 mins away and 8 mins to another beach. Plenty of pools and bbq pits to use around the complex. The unit was clean and large and had everything we needed, including the lanai for breakfast and to watch the sunsets. The reason for 4 stars was because of an additional fee that was charged. I messaged through the app the day of the reservation and did not get a response till I sent an email a couple weeks later. The policies say maximum occupancy is 6 people. Nowhere on their website or VRBO does it mention that any more than 4 people will there be an extra charge. Still today, no mention of a fee. Standard practice is to disclose all fees. So for an infant and a toddler, I was charged the same as if two grown adults stayed. Other than that, everything’s was great and I would stay here again.

As good as it gets

All was perfect, the living room overlooking the sea and the golf course, the lanai, the huge master bedroom. Very well equipped. Quiet location. Clean and safe. We’d rent this place again, no question about it.

Fantastic condo, great location

Incredible condo, amazing view of the 12th hole of the golf course and ocean. The sunsets were amazing, and we got great pictures from the lanai. Close location to shops, restaurants, grocery store. Loved having 3 different pools to choose from. Since we were there right after Hawaii opening up, we often had a pool to ourselves. It was a quick and easy drive to downtown Kona for more shops and restaurants. the rooms were large and really comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with glassware, pots, pans, etc. We really appreciated having the chairs to take to the beach, and boogie boards to use so we didnt have to rent any. Our only minor issue was the temperature of the condo. The book in the condo indicated to keep the temperature at 74 degrees, however, there was a lock box over the thermostat so we weren't able to change it from 77 degrees. We ended up using the fans majority of the time to help keep the condo cool. We would definately look to rent this condo again in the future.

Love, Love, Love!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property for our family of 4! It was our first experience reserving a condo as we are used to staying at hotels. Communication with Mindy was great! As soon as we walked in, we felt like it was home for the week. Property had everything you needed and was super clean, which was so important to me! Having the A/C was great! Location of the property was great! First floor with lanai to see the beautiful views of the ocean and golf course. We highly recommend this property if you are in the Kona area. We were bummed to have to leave, so we extended our stay an extra night and Mindy was so accommodating with the extension. Hope to be back soon! Mahalo!

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay at Kanaloa at Kona, Condo 1502. Everything was wonderful. The condo had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean and updated. The kitchen was well provisioned. All the linens, towels, beach towels and even shampoo and conditioner were provided. The location was excellent for our first trip to Hawaii. We used it as our home base to explore Kona, Hilo, Volcano National Park, Pu'uhonua O Hōnaunau National Historical Park, Kealakekua Bay and Honokohau Beach. And as others have mentioned the evening sunsets and ocean pool were fabulous. Would highly recommend this property. Our only difficulty was in accessing the sofa bed as the coffee table is extremely heavy and hard to move. We also did experience some noise from above, but that happens in attached units.

Excellent Condo - Met or Exceeded Every Expectation

The view from the condo was spectacular. We prefer looking over the golf course to the ocean front because of the manicured green lawn and the swaying palm trees. You can still see and hear the waves crashing up on the rocks. Being right next to the golf course has the added benefit of easy access to wonderful sunset views. Just be sure to stay the 45 minutes after the sun dips below the horizon, because that's when the color really develops. We brought our beach chairs (from the excellently stocked closet) and our drinks out there every evening. Magical! The condo was well decorated, roomy, and updated. As mentioned before, there is a closet stocked with chairs, coolers, snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, sand mats, etc. Everything we needed was there. The condo grounds are also well maintained. The condo is about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Kona, but there are excellent snorkeling sites both south and north from the condo, which makes it a convenient location to jump off from. We would definitely stay here again!
