Kona Magic Sands#309 is a DIRECT oceanfront, Top floor condo that is meticulously maintained, beautifully furnished, and has absolutely anything any guest could dream of.
Air Conditioning, Wifi, beach gear, linens, dishes, cookware, fully equipped!

This 3rd floor/Top Floor condo has such a beautiful view! Wake up to the ocean, hear the waves. Great whale watching during the winter months! Immediately upon walking in, you'll notice a well appointed mini kitchen that has a stove, sink, fridge and fully stocked with dishes. The bathroom has a walk in shower for you!

In the living area, there's a sitting area if you want to get some R&R watching TV. There's a small dining area as well by the Queen Sized Bed. This is an incredible option for 1 or 2 people looking to be direct beach front.

Kona Magic Sands is the only beachfront condominium complex in Kona. Enjoy an oceanfront pool there as well! There's a restaurant on site called Magics Grill as well!
Laundry use is available in the complex, which is a shared common area.

Another week in paradise

We love it here. We have stayed here before and will stay again. We love the location. You can’t get closer to the water. The unit is well maintained and clean. It has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The management team is fast and responsive. We had an AC unit problem and they had someone out as quickly as possible.

Very nice central place. Air conditioning worked well. Had everything we needed to he comfortable. Bed and pillows very comfy. Excellent staff checking in to make sure everything we needed was provided.

Perfect location

We have stayed in three or four different Kona Magic Sands units (second and third floor) and have yet to be disappointed. The view is unmatched. You’re close to everything without being right in town. We like snorkeling right out in front of the building or just to the south (mile marker 4). This unit, 309, had everything we needed and we would definitely stay here again.

Oceanfront & Reasonable

The reasonable cost for this property made us skeptical that it was really going to be as advertised, but it was! Located on the ocean, the front of the building is nondescript but the back has palm-lined views of the sunset - we could see tropical fish swimming among the rocks on calm days. The inside of our unit was clean, just a little out-dated. The kitchen is reasonable appointed if you plan to cook - which we did. Bring your own spices. There is a small beach right next door where many people were boogie-boarding and a park/beach on the other side of the building. There is also a restaurant & bar attached to the building where you can sit oceanfront- we didn't eat there, so can't review it. The patio doors opened wide to let in the breeze and surf sounds - which were quite loud during our stay. Even with the doors closed, you could still be lulled to sleep by the surf. I was appreciative of the coded access - no keys to keep track of. There is no elevator to access the 2nd or 3rd floors, so if you can't lug your bags up stairs, this location will be a challenge. Also, if you are tall (over 6 ft), the bathroom light is part of a ceiling fan which is right above the sink and that could be a tad too close to your head. That is the case in the kitchen as well. All in all, this was a terrific location, clean facility, beautiful views and responsive management.

Oceanfront condo with the sound of the waves and ocean breezes to watch the sunset and stars. Restaurant, trolley and bikes available onsite Management communication was and helpfulness was superb! We will be back!

Absolutely worth it, the view was breathtaking. The room was perfect for the two of us. .

Had the most wonderful, amazing time. The property was close enough to the shops, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle will definitely stay there again. Truly enjoyed our honeymoon. Will be back next year for sure.

You get what you pay for

Granted, we chose this place based on the value. It was one of the cheaper oceanfront units for rent. That said this would be a 1 maybe 2 star hotel anywhere. Kudos to the photographer that made this unit look this nice in the pictures. It’s a cinder block construction room that is the size of a suite hotel room. The entry to the bathroom is incredibly tight, anyone bigger than 200 pounds is going to need to grease up to get in. The kitchen is very outdated and needs a face lift. The mattress didn’t have a protector on it which, why? If you have dozens of guests sleeping on something why wouldn’t you invest in a cheap way to keep the mattress somewhat clean? The one closet in the place was packed to the gills with stuff. There’s no space to even hang clothes. There is no deck or patio, you can open the sliders and your living room is now open air. The mini split air conditioner was nice too cool things off, but it drains into the shower behind it so you get to listen to the dripping all night if you want it cool. Overall, it suited our needs. I wouldn’t stay here again though.

Great view and amazing beach next door

We had a great stay at Kona Magic Sands Condo. The view was amazing from our room, and the beach next door was fantastic. No need to drive and park in search of a beach. Magic Sands had soft white sand and a big of rocks. We swam, snorkeled with fish and sea turtles on one side of the beach, and played in the waves on the other. The room almost had everything we needed minus a dishwasher. The small kitchen worked fine but I wish there was a dishwasher but not a big deal. I appreciated the management helping me get the correct Wifi password and loved that the condo had beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, and snorkel gear. I wish I would have checked that before renting my own gear. You get an assigned parking spot but there is no elevator so you have to carry everything up to the 3rd floor, but the sunset views are worth it. We also had a great sunset dinner at the onsite restaurant and would go back to eat there even if not staying at the condo, great food and views.
