“While the property was clean, it looked a little outdated but, to us, all the HIG properties look the same. Other than that our room was very nice. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of places to eat in the area and DoorDash was available. Avoid the Golden Corral just down the street from the hotel. It is awful! It’s dirty and expensive with a minimally attentive staff.”

“I love staying there Beds were wonderful slept like a baby. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good and plenty of variety to choose from. Loved the dog races. Casino was OK didn't win oh well maybe next time lol”

“The hotel has a wonderful view of the Kanawha River. The room is spacious but does overlook the road, so you will hear cars throughout the night. The staff is friendly, and the food is good. This hotel is a good value for the money.”

“The hotel is an older building, but is very conveniently located in Charleston West Virginia. The rooms are very clean. The front desk staff are wonderful and the morning breakfast is better than any other hotel I’ve ever stayed and that’s a no joke.”
