Questo cottage monolocale si trova su 5 acri di frutteto, gola e giardini con la costa Kohala come sfondo. I proprietari fattoria indietro di 20 acri con bovini, pecore, capre e polli. Ci troviamo a metà strada tra le città di Hawi e Kapa'au - entrambi noti per i loro negozi e ristoranti caratteristici. Anche se a soli 5 minuti di auto in città, il cottage è arretrato rispetto alla strada ed è completamente circondata da bambù e alberi alti ironwood che garantiscono un ambiente tranquillo e privato. Gli ospiti possono passeggiare i motivi per raccogliere frutta di stagione, erbe e verdure, visitare con gli animali o rilassarsi su un'amaca confortevole per godersi gli Alisei. Gratuito Direct TV e internet sono disponibili per la vostra comodità. Vi è un angolo cottura con forno a microonde, Piastra 2 fuochi, macchina per il caffè, tostapane, frullatore e frigorifero. First off, the location is handy in that you can easily get to many sites in the area and walk across the street to the best grocery in the area. The setting is idyllic and feels remote except for the nearby cars. You can sit in lounge chairs on the large expensive lawn. The lovely unit is perfectly set up with a nice kitchen and everything you need. Peggy and Ken are welcoming and generous with their fruit. I am interested in plants and Peggy gave me a tour of the farm which I found fascinating. All and all, this was perfect little home for me!

The property is beautiful and private. The host was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the area. It was fun to get a tour of the farm. The ohana was comfortable and had everything needed. It was a treat to stay right between Hawi and Kapa’au.

The cottage was attached to the garage and it was always quiet. Beautiful views from the kitchen table when having morning coffee. They have chickens, ducks, cows, sheep and maybe some things I didn't see. The north end of the island doesn't have any of the out of control drunk tourists that the resorts have. Always a breeze. If you need AC then you should choose another property. There is a grocery store right across from the property. Within 5 minutes of driving, there are places to eat. Not big restaurants. King's View cafe has great food and drinks. It's directly across from King Kamehameha statue and visitor center. Too many nature adventures to list here. The host was so friendly and took us on a tour of the farm. If you like quiet, this is your place. All you hear is the frogs at night.

Best Getaway For 'Oahu Locals!

It couldn't get any better

What can I say, Peggy and Ken made me feel like a guest in their home. The cottage is as advertised. The bed was amazing. The gentle breezes lulled me to sleep and I was able to eat all my meals in the home. the grocery is a 3 minutes walk to the end of the driveway. Everything you need to cook is there and they provided fresh fruit and lemonade. If you want to be away from the tourists and just relax, this is the place. I am a little hesitant to tell people about this place to keep it to myself but that wouldn't be right. I got up early every morning and hiked down Polulu Valley and had it to myself. This is also not a bad place for honeymooners either. Mahalo Peggy and Ken.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming and lovely cottage. The studio unit had everything we needed plus the beautiful green yard with palm trees to look out was very special. Beautiful Kawi Stay

The property is beautiful. The room is a studio but, very comfortable with nice extra touches. Hawi is small. Still, there were a few things within walking distance. Lots of beautiful unspoiled Hawaii very near by.

A really special place in Kohala

The setting was so beautiful. A lush, expansive, grassy lawn surrounded by gorgeous tropical trees and shrubs, a few ducks and hens roaming peacefully around the grounds. Very quiet, private, and peaceful. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook a light meal or to just sit and relax. Peggy and Ken were wonderful hosts, checking in from time to time to see if they could help us in any way. We'll certainly be back.

Peaceful property full of nature

Lovely property! Peggy was so sweet and left me some tea and bruschetta in the the room and gave a quick your. I ended up getting sick but it was a great place to recover. They were very responsive and helpful. I enjoyed hanging out in the hammock, the amazing vegetation and the sweet animals! And the grocery store is so very close! Loved my stay here!

Kapua Gulch Farms

This was much more than a residential rental and far beyond my expectations. It was an experience. In addition to a well appointed unit ideally suited to a single traveler or a couple was a beautiful, lush, well kept and managed country farm. Hens with little chicks scurrying across an expansive lawn, an occasional duck joining in, and a botanical depth hard to describe were all your view from the kitchen table. Stroll the grounds farther to view goats and the sheep. The on-site host was welcoming and eager to share in the workings of the operation. The property was very easy to find, and also convenient to local stores, shops restaurants, and historical sites. I was sad to leave and would return in a heartbeat. Treat your self to this one.

Country Comfort

Wonderful cottage on farm nearby historic sites. Nearby snorkeling at Mokukona and Spencer. Nice swimming and hanging out at Spencer and Hapuna. Not for everyone if you aren't looking for a quiet farm setting. It's home to world's sweetest dog, Sushi. Overall, 5 stars.

Great Experience

Quiet, comfortable, country retreat. Great home base to explore the North Kohala area. Peggy, our host took us on a wonderful tour of their 25 acre farm and sent us off with some delicious avocados and herbs. We loved our memorable stay! ThanksPeggy!
