Our charming lakefront cottage exudes Southern hospitality and timeless elegance. Nestled amidst swaying Spanish moss in the majestic Cypress trees, the property creates a romantic ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable escape. This is part of a historic home that has been divided into 2 cottages. There is a hall in between them so they don’t share a wall. If you have a large group, check out Grand Harbor and rent both sides! This is one of 9 "Caddo Shores" Cabin rentals.

We are Chris and Jennifer Holloway, we're a family of five fueled by a love for each other & travel. Our hope is that our properties become your go-to retreats. We've poured our love for hospitality into creating unique & welcoming spaces , meticulously designed to be cozy and refreshing. This place was very clean and super convenient, and the fans, tv, and ac window units worked perfectly.The only issue was our bed situation, spoke to the property management regarding it and I'm confidant they will fix it for future guests. The pull out couch in the front room was not super comfortable for our daughter, and had no real mattress, but we made it work. There is not a trundle/day bed in the front room anymore. We did love being right off the water, and for two people only (we were a party of 3), would definitely recommend this place. It's about 8 minutes from the state park, and not even 5 minutes from some of the boat tours. Sunrise and sunset were beautiful over the water. If mosquitos didn't love me so much, I would've sat out on the porch and dock more. They do provide a citronella candle, and all the towels/washcloths, bedding, plates, mugs, cups, silverware, coffee pot and all the coffee you need, along with shampoo, conditioner and body wash, hand soap and dish soap, and laundry soap. If you plan to do a boat tour just bring cash. They are around 40/per person. We booked a boat tour a bit last minute, and had to scramble around to find cash, but the outpost at the end of the street helped us. We also ate breakfast there one morning, and the food was super delicious. The people who run it are so nice. Our hosts connected us with them and I was very greatful! We loved the slowness and quietness. We needed to get away for some R&R and that's what we got.

Excellent Stay!

The cabin is cute, clean, and tidy. The view is amazing. Jennifer was a great host and she made the process from selection, arrival, to checkout quite easy. We loved this property and plan to return for another relaxing and refreshing weekend stay.

Caddo lake memories

We really enjoyed our stay at this rental property. The kayaks were in great condition and taking them out on beautiful Caddo lake, paddling in between the mysterious Cypress trees amongst white water lilies is not to be missed! It’s a remote spot and we appreciated that the owner had thought of little things - dish soap, laundry pods etc. that not all rentals come stocked with. Close to the state park for lovely hiking, overall recommend this for a great and adventurous get away from city life!

Caddo Weekend

Great little cabin on the water with terrific views. Everything was as listed. Great location to explore Caddo, as well as Jefferson. I would highly recommend for a relaxing weekend.

Directions for parking not clear. People already there tried to take our space and theirs, rude. Bathtub had dead bugs and roach eggs. The tub is an accident waiting to happen. The old style, no mat, nothing, I almost fell the first time I used it, SUPER SLICK! I sent a message to the owner telling her how dangerous it was, she said they’d bring a mat, never happened, no follow up. The air conditioner in the bedroom was absolutely filthy, full of dust, buttons pushed so many times they broke inward. I took pictures of it, it was so bad. For some reason I was blocked from leaving a review on the site. I even called the site managers to ask why, mainly I was afraid of the shower situation for the next guests, especially seniors. View was nice, but not worth it.

This is a perfect location on Caddo Lake, with direct view on the lake, and even canoes at your disposal.

Great location on the lake with quick access to canoes and kayaks. The cabin was exactly what we needed. We will return to this great spot on this incredible lake.
