Sleeping four people over two bedrooms, it’s ideal for families or groups in search of an elegant cottage in the heart of town to call home while they explore the Scottish Borders together. Spend a happy morning strolling through Kelso’s cobbled streets and checking out the quirky boutiques and cafes, before you head off to Floors Castle (2 miles) to explore its magnificent Victorian Walled Gardens. Alternatively, start your day by casting off in the beautiful River Tweed, which is renowned for its fantastic salmon and trout fishing, before you set off for Kelso Racecourse (1.5 miles) to experience all the excitement of race day at one of the UK’s oldest National Hunt racecourses. Further afield, let off some steam at Scottish Borders Sporting (22 miles), where you can try your hand at axe-throwing and archery.
Step inside and store your outdoor gear in the spacious hall. Head to the light and bright open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area – the heart of the home – and cook up a storm in the sleek kitchen area. Share a sociable meal at the stylish dining table, before you stretch out on the sofa in the lounge area to watch your favourite movie on the Smart TV.
