Hotel vicino a Kentucky River - Lexington

“This room was just what the doc ordered after a 10 hour drive. Clean room, good A/C, comfy bed and pillows, updated bathroom with great shower, plenty of restaurants near by (5-10 minute drive) to grab dinner, and conveniently located right off the freeway for easy off/on access. Also liked that it was pet friendly with no additional fees. A few more luggage carts would be helpful, but the ones that were available were greatly appreciated. “The check in person at the front desk is racist and I am a black female. He checked in a white couple in front of me, greeted them and told them about the fee for incidents, and the man asked how much the fee was. The check in person told them a different fee than when it was my turn, I was not greeted and was charged the whole fee and an additional fee, both I will be contesting with my bank. We also took pictures of the room before we left to prove the room was left decent.”

“This is a MOTEL with no elevator. Street noise is noticeable on units sets closer to the street. Bathrooms looked recently renovated. Clean grout!! No waffles for kids in the morning and breakfast was below expectations compared to other Best Westerns but still good.”

“Parking was close, staff were friendly, property was clean, and my doggo was welcomed! Only downfalls were the dirty towels, had some questionable stains on them and I am glad I brought my own, and the A/C cut out in the early morning hours. I woke up to a moist floor at 4 am trying to turn the A/C back on, also the dog fees are pretty high for a less than 12 hour stay. Would recommend, but probably wouldn’t stay again, especially traveling with my dog.”

The only complaint I could give would be the $100 additional refundable fee demanded to check in due to using the Expedia App. I am a Holiday Inn Rewards customer. I don’t think that was necessary. To cancel the room and start over with a reservation at the counter meant I would not be allowed to stay. Again, doesn’t make good common sense. Especially if using Expedia was the problem. “This place reeked of marijuana the second I walked through the front doors! It permeated the ENTIRE building! The walls are thin and you can hear everything going on in the rooms next to you and in the hallway. There were people partying across the hall from us and we heard their music and them being loud until pretty late. If you like to party and smoke weed, this is the place for you. If you are looking for somewhere quiet to sleep and rest, I would advise you to stay somewhere else.”
