The host was extremely attentive and accommodating. While parking was sometimes difficult to find in the surrounding streets, the location is otherwise terrific.

Cosy rooms with modern bathrooms and set in a perfect location (only a short walk from the centre of Keswick). Felt very welcomed on arrival and throughout. Plenty of options for breakfast and set us up perfect for a days mountain biking. Thanks Liz and Chris for having us!

Liz and Chris were fantastic hosts, we had a wonderful stay and the room and bathroom were absolutely spotless. Lovely quality duvet, and fantastic breakfast of yoghurt and fruit, homemade granola, cereals, tea, coffee, toast and local jams, and a full English breakfast. They also offer vegetarian options and avocado and poached egg on toast. The options were vast and high quality. They go above and beyond for guests, and catered specifically to my partner being gluten free by providing gluten free bread and granola at breakfast. We will certainly be back and will be recommending Goodwin House to family and friends. Thank you!

This is a great guesthouse in the centre of Keswick, an ideal location with access to all the walks direct from the doorstep. I had an excellent stay with the highlights being a friendly and attentive host, super clean room with a comfortable bed (big plus after a day out walking) and an awesome breakfast with loads of options. Highly recommend if you’re looking at visiting the area :)

Liz and Chris were great hosts, friendly, helpful and warm making our stay delightful. Breakfast fare was delious and plentiful. Bathroom was tiny but, spotless. Would highly recommend to any one visting this lovely lake district.

Excellent, high quality B&B. The welcome and check-in set the tone for a first class visit. Our room was spacious, immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast choice was great, really liked the option to have a lighter avocado on sourdough as a change from the full English, which was also lovely! Thank you, we will definitely be back!!

Really enjoyed my stay. The room was quiet, warm and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Liz & Chris were warm and welcoming, and gave good advice for exploring the area. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I'm back in Keswick.

We had a fab 2 night stay at Goodwin House and would love to go back again one day. Stayed in the Skiddaw Room at the top of the house and the views were amazing. A lovely and exceptionally clean and comfortable room with everything you’d need for a stay, including the most gorgeous smelling toiletries! Chris and Liz were really lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the homemade granola scrummy! We’ll be back! X
