Crumbling. People living below with all sorts of old patio furniture spilling out everywhere. Very noisy with trains and highways on both sides. Carpet is scary stained and beds are not comfy with two people - you can feel every movement it’s like a roller coaster.

Know that we have immediately addressed these issues with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure they are rectified.Regarding the external environment, we understand that noise from nearby trains and highways can be disruptive. While we cannot control external factors, we do provide earplugs upon request to help mitigate any disturbances.As a community-focused motel, we are committed to addressing the housing shortage crisis in our city by providing living spaces for long term residents. Saying that we recognize their right to personalize their living areas to some extent.

Stayed the night enroute to Montreal. It is located just off 401, and while there is some traffic noise, the convenience of the location makes up for it. A gas station and an attached 24 hour convenience store door is great, especially when arriving late at night. Rooms were basic, neat and clean, with a Kurtis machine and cable TV. We will definitely recommend this motel.

The rooms have been tastefully updated and are very clean. The motel itself is on a busy road, which is standard. There is a VERY noisy facility of some sort across the road. Quiet at night though, so not unbearable. All in all really good value for the money!

Good value for the money. Room was clean and you couldn’t hear any noise from the Hwy even though the property was directly off the 401. Just needed somewhere to sleep for the night. There is an A&W next door to get a quick bite. Would probably stay here again on my way through.

Wonderful easy location just off the 401. Staff were welcoming, friendly & helpful. Property was quiet and clean. We stayed for 2 nights and would definitely stay again in the coming future.

The Lord Nelson is a good motel for me as it is close to the Kopi clinic. It is reasonably priced and generally quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

*** Very understanding host. My partner couldn't sleep at night because of strange bed, so I asked the host if it is possible to stay few hrs longer, we were willing to pay extra. But the lady was nice and kind, and allowed us to check our 2hrs late. We highly appreciate that.***❤️ Affordable price and clean with full facilities. Convenient area very close to gas station, convenient store, and plaza. Easy parking.

You get what you pay for. This was definitely an old motel with the smell of cigarettes from years gone by. The room was large and clean and the front office staff helpful. It is far from downtown and the surrounding area unattractive. But it was far cheaper than the downtown hotels a 15 minute drive away.

Shame about the noisy neighbours.
The rooms were tidied each day, towels changed, supplies renewed and chocolates left. On the first night there was some noise from a neighbour but imagining it was a one off did not report the issue. On the third night the highly raised voices started at 7pm and continued until 3am when we put on the ac unit to drown out the noise. We have been going to bed at 8pm to get an early 6.30 start. Not only was the noise loud but there was a lot swearing which cld clearly be heard. When we dropped off the keys there was no one on site to report the issue to. We found out in the morning that the noise was probably coming from underneath us at the back of the motel.

The only issue was our neighbor was talking until 2am. Walls are too thin. Wore earplugs to muffle the sound. It was annoying. So that made it not a good experience. Otherwise it was good. Too bad that was a factor.

We were pleasantly surprised during our stay. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We had the king size bed and it very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had all you needed. The room was made up every day and was kept very clean. The only issue was the poor water pressure in the shower. I would recommend this Motel and we would stay again
