Kinsale Cove - Dove la pace è seduta al chiaro di luna

Situato nel cuore dello storico Northern Neck della Virginia a circa 2 ore da Washington, DC, Williamsburg e Richmond, Virginia; questa casa sul lungomare completamente arredata poggia su un'insenatura protetta situata sulla sponda occidentale di Parker Creek e sul fiume Yeocomico in un quartiere residenziale privato.

Questa casa ha una pianta aperta che include splendide viste panoramiche sull'acqua da ogni stanza della casa, ventilatori a soffitto in tutte le stanze e finestre a battente per far entrare la brezza. Tre camere da letto, 1. 5 bagni con un doppio sistema centrale di aria e calore.
La spaziosa cucina con bar e isola centrale si apre nella sala colazione con un soggiorno sul mare e una grande sala giochi / famiglia attrezzata con biliardino, tavolo da ping pong per serate di gioco. La camera da letto principale ha un angolo per la scuola materna con vista sull'acqua. Nuovo molo a due livelli, 2 piedi MLW con accesso alla spiaggia della comunità. Sandy Point Marina con servizi di varo e benzina si trova anche a due minuti dalla struttura.

Fai una gita di un giorno a Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens e Historical Williamsburg a solo 1+ ora di distanza o noleggia una barca charter e divertiti a pescare nella baia di Chesapeake. Scopri il luogo di nascita di George Washington e molti musei storici e campi di battaglia vicino a Fredericksburg. Mangiare in riva ai ristoranti locali, giocare a golf nei vicini campi da golf o provare i tour delle cantine locali. Lo shopping d'antiquariato è un modo divertente per trascorrere una mattina o un pomeriggio.

We enjoyed our stay! The house was spacious and clean. It was well-stocked with games, movies, and books. The back deck was a peaceful place to be in the mornings, in the sunshine, with a view of the river. The beach is a 5 minute walk from the house. The kitchen had an assortment of items - we would have appreciated some tupperware, or tin foil/cling wrap, as we had no way of storing leftovers appropriately between meals. Overall, we had a restful stay and would definitely come back!

The home was clean and furnished. The room I left in had a queen bed that was extremely squeaky though the mattress was comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower upstairs and the air conditioning worked great! An automatic ice maker would be nice and a proper set of pans. We had some difficulty with the WiFi so I had some difficulty conducting work programs.

The property is as advertised and pretty well maintained. Be aware- it is a 40 minute drive to just about anything. It is a great location for just relaxing!

Fishing weekend

My husband and I came with my dog to do a bit of fishing and relax. The house is well equipped and great for families and dogs! Loved the ping pong, lots of games, comfy bed. Make sure you bring what you need as there is no much in terms of shopping. Bbq grill was working but dirty.we just put foil down and that worked fine. Water is tidal so expect times with the water low. There is a beach area but we did not use it. You would not want to swim off the dock. There is a fire pit which is great but bring your own wood. Would recommend this if ur looking for a rustic river stay! Management very responsive. Easy keyless entry!

Very relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet that this home provided. We weren't lucky enough to catch any fish but were able to catch about a dozen blue crabs! This home provided everything you might need to get away for a while and decompress!

Cozy but Roomy Getaway

Beyond being a lovely house, we were impressed by how much space we had available. We had four adults, each of whom had their own room and their own bed—usually oversized—with several beds to spare and more comfy common areas than we could fully take advantage of. Next time I’ll bring more friends!

Came back for the third time!

My wife and I (plus bother-in-law first time there) and our two pups came down for the festival at Stratford Hall. We have used the house three times now and it has been a joy and wonderful experience. The pups enjoyed the walks to the beach. Maria is a wonderful host! If you have questions, she gets right back to you.

Family Vacation

Our family had a great time at the Kinsale Cove this year. Crabbing and fishing from your private pier is great. We bring hand lines to crab and in 5 days caught 70+crabs. They were delicious. The fishing is fun for the kids. We caught drum, croaker and spot. The new back deck is awesome. So nice to sit out there in the evenings relaxing by the water. Thank you for hosting us again this year!

Pros and Cons

Maria communicated very well. Check in was a breeze. Neighborhood was quiet. The house in general was dirty-the outside was unkept with trash in the yard. The inside was not clean-carpets are horribly stained. HVAC is locked and controlled by host. Had to message her to lower temperature. Not used to that in a rental and did not like that. Most of the bedroom light and fan switches did not work and wall controls are missing batteries. TV remotes were dead and/or were missing batteries. Loved the ping pong table. This could be a nice property with some attention and updating, but would not stay here again.

Nice quiet area

Worked great for family visiting for a celebration of life event. Pleae replace that couch. I left a mat for the tub as it was slippery and unsafe. View and wildlife were great. They should provide an iron and board. Thanks

Great house for stay with family

We had a nice stay, the house is a good size space for everyone, and the ping pong and foosball tables were a huge hit! The windows that surround the house to see the water from two views is beautiful. The only down side is that there is only one full bathroom, but we knew that when we booked. There was an issue with the door lock, but once we got a hold of the property manager who connected us with the owner and it was taken care of quickly and easily. They were both very nice and it was no problem.

we had a great time and the house was nice, only one issue you need to address is the downstairs bathroom toilet wax ring needs replaced, it leaks out of bottom when flushed, we tried no using it as much and laid a towel down on the floor beside the toilet, the only complaint was the squeaky floors lol.

Kinsale Cove Vacation

This year we took the whole family along with the pets. The kids had a great time fishing and crabbing. The house was big enough and well stocked. Had a great time! See you next year!!!!

Peaceful, beautiful and just wonderful

I gave our kids the choice of beach, river or mountain for our Labor Day trip and they chose river and I am so glad they did. The home was absolutely perfect for our group! We had so much fun. We crabbed, we fished, we played games, ping pong, foosball and we watched a meteor shower on the dock. It was one of those vacations where we all got to reconnect and just focus on being together. It was comfortable and the host provided extra bedding and cots, which allowed the kids to spread out. My only complaint really is the knifes provided do not have a sharp edge, so if you're planning to prep meals, bring your own knife from home. We would absolutely stay again, with no hesitation!

Beautiful spot

If you want quiet and relaxation, you will find it here. The cove is beautiful. There was no one around. We enjoyed afternoons on the dock in the shade. Our kids enjoyed fishing and crabbing. We brought our own paddle board to explore. The house is very welcoming for dogs and had everything we needed! I would love to see addition of a patio or screened in porch in the future or possibly some kayaks! The host was very responsive.
