Perfect location
Very good location, ocean is across the street, so is very popular restaurant.15 min walk to the nearest mall which is really nice with plenty of restaurants. Easy parking inside the garage, comfortable room with nice views balcony, very reasonable price. Very good communication with property manager. Saw some baby roaches and shower curtain should be replaced

great location
Its a older place but very nice,clean and great location. Parking was in a garage which was nice and was watched all the time. The only thing was its a out dated condo and if you have running air-condition all night its hard to sleep.

Great Location
The condo was very clean, but the curtains had holes in them and needed replacing. The AC could not be turned down from high and was very noisy. The location is GREAT!

Kauai paradise
This property was the perfect home base for us to explore Kauai. Just the right size for a couple and just as the pictures advertised. We enjoyed the beautiful courtyard and being able to walk across the street to the little beach for sunset.

Good location, nice property
The building is steps from a small beach and close to other beaches, a short drive to Old Koloa Town and walking distance to The Shops at Kukui'ula, Spouting Horn and Allerton Garden. The unit was as pictured. I probably would not book a studio again for 2 adults with full size suitcases - other than hangers, there isn't anywhere to unpack. This is not a criticism (the description and photos are accurate), but an FYI to others who are debating between a studio and something larger. The positives: location in the building is excellent with a balcony overlooking green space and a side view of the ocean. Quiet and lovely to eat or have a drink outside. Small kitchen was reasonably well-equipped (so many knives!). Lots of towels. Beach chairs were a nice addition. Nice (unheated) pool. Beautiful gardens around the complex. Suggestions for improvement: wine glasses (there were only large glass water glasses and many plastic glasses). Bathroom smelled damp all the time. No shampoo, conditioner or dish soap. Who travels with dish soap? In corresponding with the property manager about something else, she mentioned that a welcome package of coffee and cookies hadn't been left and that she would drop it off. That never happened. Why mention it if you're not going to bring it? These are small things that would have made our stay a bit nicer. Overall, it was a pleasant place to stay in an absolutely beautiful part of the world.

Prince Kuhio Gardens
The facility manager, and the owner Ann and her assistant son Ben were great to us. The studio was as clean, clean as can be and very well located. The pool was clean and the right temperature for a refreshing dip, which I took advantage of. The location was very strategic to some absolutely world class beaches. The view from our unit was good too, and we watched the sun come up from our bedroom. Ben gave me advice on the Pohehale Beach road, and Ann sent help when I locked myself out of the unit. She was very understanding. The facility manager does such a great job of managing the garden aspect of the resort. It is just beautiful. There was nothing we lacked while there, and my wife and I will stay there again, with family, God willing.

The property was adequate. It had a great location. I wish there was a dresser you could unpack your clothing into and a stand for suitcases. The biggest problem was the air conditioner. When the unit was running, there was a loud vibration even when the fan speed was low. We could not use the a/c at night due to the noise(or hear the TV with the a/c on) We ran the ceiling fan and a small oscillating fan during the night. But we could still hear the a/c in the unit next to ours when it ran. It was great to be able to see the ocean from the lanai though the neighbor's TV was pretty loud when sitting out there in the am. We would probably stay here again now we know what to expect because of the price and location.

Excellent
The property and pictures are described as they are. Great location. Perfect sized little kitchen. Everything was clean. The pool was very nice and well taken care of. Right across the street from the beach. It's a small beach area and very Rocky so not the best for swimming, but certainly good for any board activities. My only complaint would be what others have mentioned, the air conditioning. We realized in Hawaii that it's just a difference in culture. In general on the island I found the AC very lacking. Even malls were "outdoor malls" that require no air conditioning. Being from Canada, this took some getting used to. But the room was kept cool by the Ac unit, it was just very loud and unfortunately right next to your head.

Very Good location
The description and pictures of the property are accurate. It's a bit old school but comfortable and funcional It is located right across the street from a small beach, that does not look particularly exciting at a first glance but we saw a lot of turtles, fish and even a manta while snorkeling there The community garden is beautiful and the area is quiet. It is located very close to Koloa and Poipu

Great Budget Friendly Place!
We had a wonderful stay here. The room is small but was enough for what we needed. The studio was clean and well organized. The view down the balcony was great! As others have said, this is not the place for you if you can’t walk up 3 flights of stairs, if you hate being woken up by roosters in the morning, or if you have to have strong air conditioning. The location was wonderful. You are within walking distance of great snorkeling and a marketplace with plenty of food places. I would stay here again!

We came to stay for our honeymoon. We only needed a small space and this was perfect. Close to everything, great view, and had everything that we needed. We enjoyed the pool, grills, on-site laundry, and having the cooler! I can't think of anything that I would change honestly...except for having to leave!

Perfect location
From the balcony we saw historic ruins and mountains one way and the ocean the other way. The grounds and pool are beautiful. A short walk to the public beach with some of the best snorkeling on the island and/or the evening sunset. Also a quick drive to all our south and West Island destinations. Very quick repo sea from the property manager. Thanks!!

Would recommend this stay and location.
Two small things could be fixed and added. One is glass or plastic wine glasses would be nice. And two the toilet bowl handle kept falling off. Otherwise stay was very nice thank you we had a fantastic time.

Perfect Location!
The Prince Kuhio is a perfect location, conveniently located near the airport and to other parts of the island. It is right across the street from the beach with easy snorkeling access. The surrounding gardens and pool area are beautiful, very underrated! The views from the balcony are excellent - beach and palms in one direction and the mountains in the other. The roosters are indeed loud so beware and bring your earplugs! We are looking forward to our next trip and will definitely stay here again!

Short stay on Kauai
We spent 2 days on Kauai after a week on Maui. This unit was small but adequate for our stay. We liked that we were next to open space not another condo building. The parking garage was nearby but we wanted to park on site. The parking lot was small and backing out was a little awkward.

Studio and sunsets
True studio with all you could need to prepare food. Closet and a few small drawers for clothing storage during your stay.. Property is beautiful and close to one of the best sunset watching beaches. You can hear each time the neighbors ket the door slam shut but the AC will drine it out. Can see the ocean from your room and wild chickens are constant entertainment from the patio. We had some communication challenges because they relay from VRBO and the property managers, but in the end, the property managers made a genuine effort to resolve and they did!

Location, Location, Location!! Plus sweet clean pad!
- Location! Lawai Beach was a perfect snorkel spot and dinner at the Beach House on our last night far exceeded our expectations - Having a full kitchen, plenty of towels, and laundry pods was much appreciated - The rooms were well insulated from heat and most noise, which made the stay restful and pleasant (no accounting for roosters!)

Bed linens not fresh as shown in photo; rod too large for drapery grommets so draperies could not be easily closed (and had been previously torn as a result); utensils just a mishmash; bed pillows old, hard and uncomfortable; bedside lamps in poor shape. Great coffee and cookies, but can get that anywhere. Photo looks MUCH nicer than the actual condo. Stayed in a much nicer two-bedroom condo for same price in Princeville, north Kauai.

Working on these issues immediately, left voice mail after guests checked in to ask about the status of the unit. No response. We will leave word in the VRBO messanger as well in the future. We would have taken care of these issues for these guests, but appreciate the feedback to get it ready for the next

An affordable stay in Poipu
We enjoyed our stay and felt the listing accurately reflected the unit. It is overdue for a refresh/TLC but this seems to have been somewhat considered in setting the monthly rate. Pros: Location is great! Great snorkeling across the street Beach chairs and umbrella provided Good water pressure/plenty of hot water Plenty of towels, including beach towels Views from the patio (park, mountain and ocean) Large size TV with lots of channels Soft toilet paper! A/C Nice size of refrigerator/freezer Ice cube trays Easy check-in Close garage parking Laundry available Responsive owners Exterior property grounds are pretty and well-cared for with a hose to clean off muddy shoes or car Cons: Unit is very small, no room to unpack any clothes Unit showing its age Unheated pool

Great Spot
We loved the location and the cost. It is a very cute apartment. If you're looki g for luxery, maybe look elsewhere, but for a very quaint studio with an amazing location, this is the place !

Nice, quiet unit with an ocean view
Perfect size for my husband and I! This was not our first time at Prince Kuhio, but our first time in this unit. We do not spend much time in the condo when we travel to Kauai, but it had everything we needed. The Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrellas were a nice surprise. We mostly ate quick meals, but the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and anything you needed if you wanted to REALLY cook. Also love when the sink/vanity area is separate from the toilet and shower... nice to have the extra space when it's just one bathroom. We even received a check-in call from the property manager to make sure everything was ok, much appreciated!

Amazing
My husband and I have never been to Kauai before. When we got to our room it was perfect. I love the location. It's a hidden gem. The room is well kept and has snorkeling supplies you can see the beach and people watch. Everyone in Poipu is nice too. Best vacation yet. We will be back!

Great location, across the street from the best snorkeling the locals say!
The parakeets will bomb your car so park in the garage! Be sure that you pick up a parking pass at the front office (or you’ll get fined). The top floor, end condo is private, clean and quiet — bring earplugs because the roosters will wake you up earlier than you anticipated. It is the perfect lunch to hikes, restaurants, shopping centers and beaches. We feel so lucky to a found this place.

Le condo est très propre avec toutes les commodités. Communication facile avec le propriétaire.Complexe très propre et très bien aménagé. Belle piscine et aire de BBQ très fonctionnel. Very nice studio unit
Perfect location with snorkeling across the street. Great place to see sunsets and within walking distance to a very nice shopping center. Chickens in the park next door get you up to see beautiful sunrises. Would stay there again.

Awesome location for exploring the south side of the island. Beach accessories provided. The pool was nice too. Only thing I would suggest is if you’re one that gets hot at night time, the AC takes awhile to get going. Other than that, 5/5 stay

Beautiful Apartment close to beach
Highly recommendable. Very pretty and cosy apartment in Poipu close to many beaches and shopping areas. Equipped very well even with beach equipment like snorkels.

Wonderful stay in Kauai
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. The studio is small but a perfect size for two people. The lanai has a beautiful view of the ocean. We enjoyed waking up every morning to the sounds of the ocean and birds (yes, roosters as well) and relished sitting on the lanai taking in the island views. The studio was well equipped with beach towels, a cooler and beach chairs. We were welcomed with macadamia nut cookies and a one pot supply of coffee. I would highly recommend this VRBO to other couples and encourage future travelers to pack their own consumables such as coffee filters, shampoo, and conditioner (these were not supplied). A hui hou.

Exceeded expectations!!
My husband and I chose this condo a little last minute so we weren’t sure how we’d like it. It 100% exceeded every expectation! The location was amazing. We snorkeled at the beach across the street and it was the best snorkeling we encountered in Kauai. Also, the proximity to everything in Poipu was perfect! The condo was very clean and the bed was super comfy! We loved every minute and were very sad to leave!

Perfect location, great simple room!
The studio was very clean, even including a flower on the table! We loved that we could see and listen to the ocean from the deck, and also that the best sunsets on the island can be viewed from right across the street! The kitchen was adequate for our needs, and though small, the studio worked well for our week-long get away as a couple. We have already recommended this room to our in-laws!
