“I know my husband plans to write a longer review but until that happens, just know that this lovely little gem is exactly that. The staff went above and beyond to meet our every need. The villa was beautiful as was our outdoor onsen which I wish I could have taken with me. The real stand out for us was the staff, their kindness and the quality of the food. We were truly blown away and agreed that we had some of our finest meals here. On second thought I wish I could bring Chef home with me....

“This was my second stay and I was just was blown away as the first time. The Awashima Hotel is a true gem of a location and establishment. The boat ride from the shore to the island is scenic and pleasant, the island itself features a fun aquarium with shows, a wonderful walking path ideal for a stroll or early-morning birding, and adventurous guests can attempt the steep climb up to the island's shrine.
