“The building and the staff were great! Such a cute property and a really nice room. Only downside was that it was pretty loud due to traffic noise outside (and an early morning party in the parking lot next door). But the staff and amenities were really top notch, and breakfast was very tasty both days!”

“When we checked in we were advised that the Air conditioning was out and that they would refund us our fees if we wanted to cancel and go elsewhere which was not an option. We had no other options and they had there was no compensation for it. The shower in our room leaked all over the place and looks like it had been like that for a while. Pool area is kind of old but functional. Staff was very nice otherwise. Overall nice place.”

“Staying at The Bay Inn was the best traveling experience I’ve had this year. The room was perfect. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The location can’t be any better if you’re a beach lover. I look forward to staying again should I ever return to Norfolk.”

“Breakfast can be much better, wasn’t interested in their choices. Also we had no room cleaning or fresh towels/wash clothes were not offered. Fit over 1000$ for 2 nights you would expect a better breakfast and at least have a room attendant. King room was small, bed was ok not all that comfortable. For the most part room and bathroom was clean.”

“The staff is AMAZING!!! They made you feel like you were at home. Everyone was kind, helpful, and friendly. A special thanks to Archie for the delicious breakfast every morning and for always going above and beyond for all guests. He was thoughtful and even wrapped blueberry muffins for my son to take with him and offered me honey for my tea. The maintenance staff were also helpful and kind! Will be staying here again when returning to Virginia. Thank you all for your incredible hospitality!”
