Bayfront Cottage is a 3 bedroom house on Richmond Bay.

Bayfront Cottage is a 3 bedroom house. Sleeps up to 6 guests. Enjoy water access, a private shared dock and a private shared beach. Rent kayaks, canoes, water bikes and more just a block away by water access. Rent a pontoon book with less than a mile water access. Coming soon: Enjoy the game area in the basement and relax with a movie. NOTE: If you are looking for something affordable in a cute little home then this is the place. If you have high expectations please book the Chalet. We LOVE your reviews ..If you did not have a 5 Star stay we do not re-host for any of our Bayfront properties! We provide the opportunity and you make the stay!!

Nice little cottage

Beautiful location. Simple accommodation but comfortable. Lacks a bit of love and in need of a deep cleaning.

Bay front property

We did have a good time on our stay here and the property has a beautiful view. The place really does need some TLC. First of all there were only 5 towels and we had 6 people. The toilet seat was being held on with one bolt and it would move everytime you sat down! There are not outlets in the bathroom and no mirrors anywhere else in the house. The railings on the back deck are not secure and if you leaned on them you would fall and definitely get hurt!

Good enough

It was fine. Door code given was not correct so we had to call the property manager (big company, not just a homeowner). That got taken care of quick. House is fine, a little janky. There was only one trash can in the entire house. Definitely needed one in the bathroom. No rags for showers. A remote was broken in the main room. Saw a mouse run in the kitchen one day. We're not fancy people so that stuff didn't really bug us. I'm kind of annoyed by the not-so-veiled threat in the description that if you don't rate them a 10, they won't rent out any properties to you in the future. That's pretty much bribery. Location is on a busy road, but the river access was good. Would be good for a fishing trip and was fine for us.

Great location

Walking distance from a Kwik Trip. Kayak and boat rental 2 doors down and tons of amenities close by. Downtown was a 6 dollar uber ride. We'd love to return in the summer when we'll be able to spend more time outside, on the water. Great for small family get togethers!

Not a chance I would stay here.

No address by the street. Railing broken to go up steps to the door. Pitch dark when we arrived so no way to see the keypad without a flashlight. No smoke alarm or carbon monoxide detectors. No ice maker, freezer was awful and dirty. Plastic cover on bed upstairs so laying on it you would crinkle loudly all night. Pillows in pillow shams, no pillowcases on bed. No extra blankets. No amenities at this place. We left and did not stay. Found other accommodations. Host was very rude and unkind when I made them aware of our concerns and asked for a refund. They were unwilling to work with us at all.

DIrty, run-down and under-equipped

Very noisy street. The front door light fixture and handrail were broken. Living room: Light switches didn't work. No batteries in Raku remote. Cobwebs on light fixtures. Broken chair. Dead bugs in basket of afghans. Kitchen: broken faucet, some broken drawer pulls; grease on stove; oven smoked when 1st used; broken floor tile; several non-working outlets and switches; no dishwashing soap, only 1 dishcloth/towel, stained potholder. Only 4 small pans with either broken handles or peeling non-stick coating. Bathroom: no outlets, worn towels. No toiletries provided. "Picky" toilet on flushing. Lower bedroom: dead bugs in between very worn sheets on the bed. Dirty carpet. Broken window blind. Upstairs bedrooms: insufficient and worn linens; badly stained, smelly carpets. WiFi password given was invalid. Very spotty internet so couldn't use TV most of the time.

This property is in need of TLC. There were things, that included safety issues, that needed to be fixed and in reading other reviews, it appears these things were an issue for some time. Paint, cleaning, better curb appeal would go a long way.

Get what you pay for

Unfortunately we were less than impressed with this rental, and really the first time we’ve had anything negative to say about a VRBO. This was an inexpensive rental, so we weren’t expecting luxury, but the kitchen faucet was broken, linens worn and pilled, no mattress pads on mattresses that were stained, ceiling fans and window sills very dirty, carpeting stained. I understand some structural limitations in an older home, but some of these things are easily fixed. On the positive side, it’s a beautiful location on the water and sunrise from the dock was awesome.

Great Experience

We were up in the are for Oktoberfest Race Weekend at Lacrosse Fairgrounds Speedway. Property had everything you needed, as we were not there a ton. Just sleeping and showers. Would be a great place during the summer, with a riverfront back yard, and plenty of space to hang out and have a fire, etc.

Fishing trip

Great house, great location. We were there to go fishing and it was ideal for that. We had a great time. Everything was perfect with the house the dock. And the water. It could use some electricity at the dock as we had to run 300 feet of extension cord to charge the batteries in the boat. Overall wonderful, we would rent it again.

Bass Tourney Stay

Great location, close to everything. The house is plenty spacious and the view from the deck is beautiful. Having a driveway was a big plus to park the boat. I will be back again.

Great stay!!

Our stay was perfect! The rental is in the ultimate location, water, dock for fishing, beach, bbq grill and even a fire pit. We couldn't have been happier. We will stay again when in the area!

Good value for the price but bring your own supplies

The location and property itself was just fine however, we had to go get toilet paper, hand soap, and papertowels because there weren't any and toilet paper is something that was actually listed as an amenity. Sent a message regarding this and there wasn't a response I would also bring your own towels and sheets

Cabin on the bay

The Cabin is located very close to downtown and the Hotel that the event we where attending. The owner responded promptly to the small issue we had checking in. I was very happy with our stay.

I received a call the first night from my crew, they said the water was not draining in the tub and filling up. I was getting ready to let you know, but they got back to me and said they were able to unclog the drain. Otherwise, the loculation was great for us. We have more work this summer and I may be contacting you again.

Beautiful Bay View

We really enjoyed the outdoor amenities. The fishing was good. We relaxed watching the sun come up on the bay. We even enjoyed the sand beach, grilling out and a fire in the pit. The closed in porch made enjoying the bay possible on the rainy day. We had a very relaxing visit.

Location was fine but some minor issues with house. The railing as you walk up front porch was completely rusted off and broken at base causing hazard. The windows blinds were hard to open and some of wind screens didn’t appear to fit properly possibly allowing bugs in. Plus there was a large brown stain on the wall in the bathroom and fixtures loose. These of course are minor cosmetic issues but for general appeal and safety should be addressed.

BBQ Grill; Parking

Per the rental manager, there was a useable gas grill and plenty of parking space. The gas grill was filthy dirt with maggets inside of it. There was only the driveway which made it very difficult getting into from the street which is a main access from I-90.
