“The location is excellent and the view from this property is stunning! Literally walk out your front door and down the steps to the main road lining Varenna. Very walkable! We knew the age of the house based on pictures and description, which is why it was charming and felt “old Italy,” but age did show with some things, like the upstairs bathroom. “Great location”

“Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but...

“The property was very nice and the check in process was easy. It would be good to have a car because Uber and car share services do not work in Varenna. The taxi service is a little sporadic and expensive. The train station is a long walk as is town. The view was great with plenty of space. I would rent here again but only if i had a car”

“Wir haben zwei sehr entspannte Wochen in dem wunderschönen Haus verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt um sich auch selbst zu versorgen. Nur das WLAN ist zeitweise sehr instabil. Man geht über einen Weg direkt zum See und gelangt an einen kleinen und ruhigen Strandabschnitt. Wir würden es auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. ”

“My wife & I had a lovely stay at this Bellagio home. It is pretty well centered - about 20 min walk to the tourist-y part of the city. The balcony is beautiful to enjoy a bottle of wine. It was spacious and we felt right at home!Pro Tip - we flew into Milan and hired a private driver from Transfeero. The drive itself was quick and easy, about an hour and a half, and it wasn’t terribly expensive (100-150). The driver was able to drop us off right in front of the home. “From the moment our host met us, it was an incredible experience! Such an easy check in and the apartment had every thing that we would need for our visit! And let me tell you, the pictures do not do this gorgeous place justice! Absolutely STUNNING views that would take your breath away! Just a short walk or drive to downtown Menaggio where you can catch a ferry across to Bellagio or Varenna, and even Como! We had a washer so we could easily wash our clothes so you won’t have to pack as much....

“My family and I really liked staying here. Difficult to find but that was car’s navigation issue. Only 15 mins from main center of Bellagio. Communication with owner was top notch and he was extremely helpful and nice. Very peaceful and quiet. Only downfall is the bath tub in field directly in front of property but that probably belongs to another property. ”
