Crossing Keys is a private apartment with its own front door access. The property is one of four in a small communal block.

Ferragudo is a small but beautiful village situated on the Arade estuary opposite the city of Portimão. Fortunately, Ferragudo has escaped the strong development of its neighbours and maintains a small but relatively traditional character.

It is known for its picturesque village, its beautiful beaches, its small harbour and of course its fresh fish. It is also considered to be the last village on the Central Algarve coastline, as across the river Arade lies the much larger town of Portimão and the beginning of the Western Algarve. Above the village and at the top of the hill is the church of Ferragudo - Igreja Nossa Senhora da Conceição.

The small harbour, where the ferries dock, is full of great fish restaurants and on the water you will see lovely boats bobbing up and down.

The centre of the village has palm-lined gardens and a small river leading to the main cobbled square of Praça Rainha Dona Leonor. This is a lively square with several cafes and restaurants, which is a great place to start any visit to Ferragudo.

After refreshments, it is best to explore the narrow cobbled streets where colourful houses and flowers await you.

On the second Sunday of every month, there is a lively flea market in Ferragudo. You can expect an eclectic mix of items spread across many table tops in the main square.

It is located 6.2 kilometres from Portimão, 6.9 kilometres from Carvoeiro and 69 kilometres from Faro Airport.


TOURIST TAX
As per Information Note 42/2024 Lagoa Municipal Tourist Tax, in accordance with regulation 425.2024 - a tourist tax per person, per day up to a maximum of 7 days is collected and then paid to Lagoa Municipal.
