While we loved our time in Laguna and will definitely return to the area, we will not stay at this property or any properties managed by Evolve again. Upon arrival, the property was not as advertised and was not clean. Floors and rugs were dirty, and the backyard and hot tub were unusable due to their condition. Two smoke detectors had been removed from the ceiling with wires exposed. The listing stated there was a king and two queen beds, but the actual setup was a king, queen, and full, with bedding that did not fit properly. Several listed items were missing, including a carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. For a month-long stay, we had only one kitchen towel and washcloth, and the silverware was dirty and insufficient. The mattresses were heavily stained, furniture did not match the photos, and the master bedroom window was stuck open, leaving us exposed to the neighbor’s kitchen. The washer and dryer also stopped working the first use. Important information (garbage day, fireplace instructions, and landscaping schedules,)was never provided. We appreciated that the property manager eventually sent items and arranged some repairs, but communication was very poor. Messages went unanswered for days, and it took three weeks to reach a resolution. Given the high cost, we expected a clean, safe, accurately represented property. These issues greatly took away from what was supposed to be a special 80th birthday celebration for my Dad.
