Palisades Tahoe Escape

  • Enjoy this mountain condo set in an unbeatable location, less than two miles from the Village at Palisades Tahoe! This is a perfect year-round home that caters to all. This two-bedroom, two-bathroom condominium is located just minutes from the Village at Palisades Tahoe that offers shopping, dining, skiing, and riding.

    Tastefully furnished with marble countertops, new appliances, an electric fireplace, a large dining table that seats six and a breakfast bar that seats two, and a patio with a BBQ and furnishings makes this condo great for families or a group of friends looking to escape to the mountains.

    When it is time to call it a day, retreat to the master bedroom that features a queen bed. The second bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed and there is a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. There is one full bath at the end of the hallway and another that connects the bunk room and the main living area.

    Retreat to the Tavern Inn and immerse yourself in the year-round HOA amenities featuring a shared seasonal pool, sauna, hot tub, and tennis courts, bike path, playgrounds, and more. This condo truly has it all!


    PROPERTY NOTES
    * We provide a starting supply of toilet paper, paper towel, and laundry detergent, but recommend bringing extra for longer stays.
    * We do not provide shampoo / conditioner / or body wash although there could be some left from previous guests.
    * We recommend 4 x 4, AWD, or carrying snow chains in the winter months.
    * There is no air conditioning in this rental.
    * No stairs inside the condo. There is only 1 step from the exterior.

    * Parking is limited to 2 vehicles. Parking is 1st come, 1st serve and outside. There is 1 garage parking spot.

    Roof repairs will begin on Monday, September 14 and may result in some additional activity or noise during working hours. Expected to be finished October 14.

    Spa will be closed 10/5 - 10/9.

    Pool is closed for the season.

Lovely condo, convenient for skiing

The condo itself was attractive, perfectly clean and well-maintained, as well as being very convenient for Palisades Tahoe where we were skiing. The HOA it’s in seems to be very well run — there was a ridiculous blizzard while we were there and they were really on top of getting everything plowed out. I can’t think of anything I’d want to change about it.

Nice!!

Our stay was amazing! The condo is so close to the resort for skiing and the town of Tahoe City for tourist shopping and eating. The "hall bath" that is referred to in the listing (closest to the Queen bedroom) is actually an en suite and is private. The bunk bed sheets smelled of a previous user was probably not cleaned before we arrived. Other than that the unit was relatively clean

Perfect little condo

Perfect little condo! Great location in north Lake Tahoe! About a 5-10 min drive to the Truckee River where you can hang out and float. About a 15 min drive to commons beach in Tahoe City. The beach was pretty crowded though, so either get there early, or maybe try a different spot? Truckee is also about a 15 min drive away- cute restaurants, shopping, bars, etc. The condo/cabin itself was wonderful! Clean and comfortable! Pretty small kitchen and food prep space though- can really only fit one adult at a time but not a huge deal for me. Overall, totally loved it!

Great Stay. Too Expensive

Everything was perfect and we had no complaints. Well, only one. The nightly rate was fine, but after ALL the fees, the price was ridiculous. I know it's peak season, but wow. I only pulled the trigger was b/c I was looking to show Tahoe to out-of-country family and I had no other options.

Nearly a 5 Star

So many positives. Great location! Garage/laundry is a bonus. Nice size for our three guests. Comfortable beds. Despite the lack of A/C, it stayed cool during the day. Highly recommend a stay here. What keeps it from a 5 star property is it's showing its age. This unit is a bit dark; had to keep lights on during the day. Ice maker inoperable. Some of the pots/pans/utensils should be replaced.

Nice stay, fireplace didn't work

The place is lovely and was spotless on arrival. When we tried to light the fireplace according to the instructions, it didn't work. Called property management the next day to report the issue, but was unable to coordinate as we were at Palisades skiing all day. Called the next day, and was routed to someone's voicemail. Never got a call back. We really wanted a lovely fire to go with our Thanksgiving meal but it didn't happen, which was disappointing. The kitchen had all the right pans and tools to cook a full Thanksgiving meal. I had brought extra dishwasher detergent, and good thing too as none was left in the unit. As mentioned in other reviews, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap were scarcely available and we had brought our own. A nice quiet place, warm and really close to both resorts that make up Palisades. Also, hot tub was tarped over even though it was supposed to have been running in the winter.

Great Condo for a Mountain Getaway.

Great property for hanging out near Lake Tahoe and Palisades (Squaw Valley). Our only complaint was the shared hot tub was mildly warm at best. Other than that everything else was great!

Perfect location to stay for Western States. The property exceeded our expectations and worked perfect for our group. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect family getaway

Beautiful location. The rental is exactly as described and property manager is very helpful! Super clean and loved having a garage to store our bikes and they even had bikes and beach chairs in the garage too.

Nice place to stay

This property worked great for our family of 5. The kids loved the bunk beds and having their own attached bathroom. The master bedroom was spacious and also has en suite bath. The kitchen was well stocked. The pool and spa were nice to have available. The location was new to us but we would definitely stay here again.

Great place for a family.

We enjoyed our stay in Olympic Valley. The condo was just as described and my son especially enjoyed the bikes in the garage and the nearby bike trail. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient ski lodging

Everything went smoothly with booking and check- in. Short drive to palisades Tahoe. Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed to cook for ourselves! 3 things that could improve the place. 1. The gas fireplace smells like gas when lit, and probably needs serviced to burn a blue flame , not yellow. 2. The light outside both bedrooms at night made it difficult to sleep well. Blackout curtains would really improve things.The mattress in the larger bedroom sagged to the middle. Could benefit from new beds.

Best Deal

Best condo rental for the value. Good condition. Good location. Includes a garage, which was nice to store the bicycles we brought up. Lots of kitchen utensils--extras located in the water heater/house heater closet. Hot tub was operational at 102 degrees, located about 40 yards from the condo. Pleased.

Great location

Our family of four spent a few days for a family wedding nearby. We enjoyed hanging out in the living space, having 2 full bathrooms, the path for walking, and convenient location to coffee on the mountain and meals in Tahoe City. Only downside was no A/C (it was a super hot weekend) but fans helped. Didn't use any HOA amenitities but liked having a garage for rental car.
