Kingfisher Lodge Studio

Brand new and conveniently located, this holiday house provides great value and comfort for your stay in Tekapo.

Enjoy the open plan living, and comfy beds. You’ll find a variety of facilities to enjoy within 10min walking distance including cafes, shopping, super market, bars and restaurants.

You will love the many popular activities surrounding this house including the popular Star Gazing tour, a golf course, hot spring pool and a ski field in the winter. The good shepherd church is just 1.5km away.

The house is professionally cleaned and managed to a Hotel like standard. Freshly-laundered, matching linens and towels are supplied to ensure guest hygiene. Complimentary tea and coffee, individually wrapped toiletry including shampoo, bath gel, hand soap and free Wifi are also provided for your convenience.

With 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, this brand new 1 bedroom studio is fantastic for a couple or single traveler to rest comfortably.

The adjoining side may also be booked, depending on availability.

部屋は問題なかったが、ロッジとスタジオ、2つの宿泊施設になっていることをお互いの宿泊者に伝えるべき。スタジオに泊まったが、ロッジの声や音がだいぶ聞こえる。

We were asked to do our dishes but we only had a sink in the bathroom. Do we put the washed dishes on the toilet or the floor? The sun shone in the large sliding door baking the room. It was cool at night and would have made sleeping comfortable but there were no screens in the windows, so we were told to keep them closed. The neighbours door banged shut quite late into the evening, keeping us awake. Rubber stoppers on their door would help with this. The room was clean, the location was great.

Everything was as described. But it didn't mention that there is NO sink in the "kitchenette" which made things a bit tricky if you want to keep things tidy. I don't think the bathroom sink is where you need to do that. Communication with the manager was fast by email. The walls seem to be paper thin so we could hear the other tenants. They parked behind us and thankfully we saw it and told them to move their car (not sure what was communicated to them). Also, the room was cold when we arrived and the heater took time to warm up the room. The best had a mattress warmer which was nice at night. But it was ok for one night. The bathroom was clean and had all the essentials you need for a night.

It is very basic accommodation. It is an alpine location, and the bedding was a bit mean. Another blanket would help, plus flannels for shower. Extra towel would be nice for extended stays. Not well equipped for preparing your own meals, and dishes have to be washed in bathroom sink, next to toilet. Overall, just adequate. Shower needs a good clean.

Reasonably new and clean room. Good amenities but kinda gross the toilet brush was in the same cupboard as the cups! Studio is attached to the main house with interconnecting door. There was a family staying in the main house and we could hear their conversations- normal, not raised voices so it didn’t feel super private. Bedding was minimal - suggest you take your own pillow! Lovely heater kept the room warm though so not a major. Good place to stay if you just need a bed for the night.
