WARNING: Avoid this PropertyWe secured this rental earlier this year, and only two weeks prior to our arrival the owner unilaterally converted one of the bedrooms into an office/gym—removing three beds and materially altering the accommodations we paid for. As a direct result, three members of our group were forced to secure last-minute hotel rooms at 9:30 PM, incurring significant and unnecessary expenses.Despite acknowledging both the error and their failure to notify us (and despite the listing still not being updated), the owners refused to provide any refund or financial remedy. Michael, the owner, attempted to justify this by stating that we received a “great deal” on the home and that the change was his wife’s idea. This is wholly irrelevant and does nothing to mitigate the substantial misrepresentation of the property. After we attempted to resolve the matter directly and professionally, he ceased communication entirely.We will be seeking a full refund through VRBO and are strongly considering legal action for the clear breach of contract and failure to deliver the lodging as advertised.Additionally, the home was severely under-equipped. The kitchen contained only a single frying pan, no tongs, no baking sheet, and a mere four or five wine glasses. The overall condition was unacceptable for a property at this price point.Do not rent this home. There are numerous reputable listings and responsible hosts on VRBO—this is not one of them.
