You really feel like you have a degree of quiet separation from the bustle of Hilo that is only a short drive away. So best of both worlds. The tradeoff is that the village access does require a short drive on unpaved roads. So prepare mentally that this is a slightly more secluded location. You get a simple but thoughtfully...

“Our stay was amazing! The property was very very clean and decorated nicely. The parking and accessibility were great. The view is just amazing, the goats nearby were so cute! The owners were friendly, kind and the information book inside the home was very well put together and resourceful. I highly recommend this property for your stay while visiting Hilo.”

“A wonderful guesthouse a few miles outside of town. It had everything we needed and the communication with the owners was great. The only small downside was the combo washer/dryer took 5 hours to do a very small load and we couldn't use it overnight because it was right next to the pullout bed.”

“Expedia was the problem for the check-in process. If your travels take you to Hilo, this is the place to stay. It’s on quite possibly the most beautiful neighborhood in Hilo. Beautiful setting and great hosts. There is quite a bit of coqui frogs and it sounds like a frogpocalyose. Lol but after the first night, we slept through it. Truly awesome lodging option! Brand new rooms. So nice. 10+ AAA+”

“The property lists a kitchen but there is not. The is a refrigerator, plates/cups/etc and some plug in appliances, but washing dishes in a tiny bathroom sink was not ideal. There was laundry accessible and the house was very safe and comfortable during a hurricane. Just beware that if you are looking for a kitchen, there isn’t really. Otherwise the property was perfect for our stay.”
