Colonial-style farmhouse circa 1750, boasting 3000 s.f. on 2 acres. 4 bedrooms on the first floor with 2 full baths, 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor with 1 additional full bath; large living room and dining room that seats 12. The backyard is a wonderful open space for outdoor events. 5 minutes to Casinos, Winery, Mystic seaport and beaches.

The Town of Ledyard, located New London County, sits along the Thames River in the southeastern corner of the state. Incorporated in 1836, the town of Ledyard was named after Colonel William Ledyard, a Revolutionary War soldier killed at the Battle of Groton Heights.

Large house great for extended family trip

This house was perfect for my extended family's trip to attend a wedding. We loved the charm of the house. There was enough room for everyone and everyone had a bed. The house was clean. There were ac units in each room. For our stay over Labor Day weekend, the temp in the house was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook which was nice because we came from out of state. They even had k-cups! The listing was vague on the additional guest fee and when that applies. The listing mentions it sleeps 15. With my VRBO experience, this means the maximum amount of guests is 15 and anything over that would have an additional guest charge. I had 14 guests (12 adults and 2 children) and was charged additional guest fees. I was told the fee was for being over 12 guests. Upon speaking with the owner, they waived the fee because I had young children which I appreciated. My suggestion is to either lower the number for how many people the listing can sleep or be more clear about when the additional guest charge applies in the listing. Other than that, we had a great stay. The owners were very responsive before our trip. There were no issues with the home so we didn't have to contact them.

Wedding Weekend

Overall the accommodations were great. We have a little difficulty finding the correct door to enter as there is really no garage and the code was incorrect that was giving to us. Also we had to bring in large boxes that had been delivered to the house prior to us coming which blocked the door that we were to enter. Besides that we enjoyed the house. Thanks you

Fun, relaxing stay

My friends and family had a good time at this historic property. Great open lawn, powerful A/Cs in each room, and cozy despite being from the 1750s. Close proximity to casinos and other fun activities. Would come back again.
