When we arrived at the hotel there was a power cut. We were unable to check in and we were unable to access our room and we were told that the very earliest we could expect the power to return was 8:00 p.m. this was 4 hours after our arrival time. We were unable to use the room. We had a special dinner in Leeds that we had to be prepared for and we were planning to use the room to have a relaxed start to our evening. We were left. No choice but to book a more expensive room last minute at a hotel close by.
I have contacted the Best Western and Expedia for a refund and this has been declined on three occasions.
I find it absolutely ludicrous that the product I purchased was not able to be used and I wasn't able to have a full refund.
To compound my disappointment, when I initially contacted Best Western, they simply told me that when Expedia reached out to them, they would process a full refund. However this has been declined on two occasions according to their refund policy.
I feel let down by both Expedia and Best Western on this matter. I do not feel both companies have my interests at heart both as a consumer and as a valued customer.
