“We booked this room for 2 people but amenities were lacking. I first noticed that there were only 2 pillows and no spare blanket which we had been using on this trip for almost 3 weeks from Victoria to Queensland and return. We managed but did have to ask for another pillow and dinner plate then noticed there was only 1 set of cutlery, 1 knife, 1 fork, 1 desert spoon, 1 tea spoon. “Friendly operator, good prices, older style but clean and quite, not on highway so no traffic noise. Good price which included continental breakfast in the dining room, which was lovely. Second time we’ve stayed, last time was in a much larger room but room we had this time was big enough.”

The modern bathroom facilities in our room were lovely,with fantastic water pressure and THE HOTTEST WATER EVER!! (Maybe a warning about that in your compendium’s would benefit parents with small children ;) I highly recommend The Historic Hydro for any length of stay,and I will be sure to tell all my family and friends of it’s existence if they don’t know already...
