Came into Mahoney valley to go to the race track up the street and came from out of state and after a long drive out here and long day at the track we were tired from all the driving and being at the track we got a room for the night very quiet, clean, place easy to get to and only 2.3 miles from I-476

The staff was very friendly, however the room had a musty smell, uncomfortable bedding, and paper thin walls Very noisy next door all night long.... the breakfast was very minimal and stale.

Clean and inexpensive. Not the normal type of place that I stay but 😞 was trying to save some money. I was surprised and happy to find the room clean. Trust me I checked it completely, I was worried. The staff was super nice, I checked in after the office closed. My only issue is that I would have felt more comfortable with a deadbolt for the door that just leads to the outside and it felt a bit too lightweight. I will stay there again when I come for business.

The bathroom smelled like pot every time you opened the door. The pillows on the bed also smelled like pot. I have stayed here before and this was my worst experience.

The rooms are very clean. We relied on recent reviews that were posted and I'm thankful we did. The staff was nice and even called the room a few minutes after we arrived to make sure we didn't need anything. Very unexpected.

Hair on rim of toilet was a nice touch. Also the rusted radiator & lights in bathroom. But especially the drywall dust on carpet by the closet & bureau. Spackle bucket and used sandpaper on bureau. Plus open bucket of paint all on bureau - in case we wanted to finish the job!

Staff was great, location was very convenient. The room smelled like cigarette smoke, even though it’s been non smoking for a long time. The bed was clean and comfortable. The carpet looked clean. The walls need some drywall and paint work, the chairs need new fabric and I needed to use a butterfly clip to hold the window curtains closed. If the room was $75 per night I wouldn’t have written this, but because it was a bit more, I expected more.

We stay here when we come to events at Penn's Peak and rooms are clean, and everything is in proper working order. However, the diner 2 doors down, Beacon 443, is absolutely terrible. Go to the Boulevard instead 😁

The place is old, dated, chipped paint, blankets have burned holes and the hvac system is noisy. Not their fault, but a stink bug on the sheets. Won’t stay here again!

The room stated non-smoking but smelled of smoke when we entered the room. Windows did not lock. No coffee maker in the room. Bathroom was dirty. The table tops all were dirty. The heater kept coming on every 5 mins and it was loud. There were stink bugs on the wall. I doubt we will go there again. Very disappointed - room did not look like the picture.

Great, quiet and cozy place
Very cozy and rustic. A little dated but it added to the charm. Continental breakfast was very fresh, coffee was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were so comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the mountains behind us. Will definitely be coming back!

My experience was for a short overnight stay. Checking in was extremely easy, the woman at the desk was friendly and helpful. Parking was located right by the room entrance, very convenient. The rooms were clean and had anything needed for a short stay. The location was very quiet. Would stay again!

Nice older motel
Our stay was good... We were able to check in early, even though our room wasn't ready, and then we enjoyed Jim Thorpe and the surrounding area before returning to the room later in the afternoon. The room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, we only stayed one night over a weekend and it wasn't super full or busy... the heater in the room was very efficient and kept us feeling comfortable at all times... however, there was no heat in the bathroom, and an old single pane window, so it got very cold in the bathroom... the toilet was malfunctioning to the point where it would continually flush, unless you jiggled the handle a bit... both of these were mentioned to the staff at checkout, and I was thanked for the information and told they would have a look at it... overall for the price and location, I would definitely stay again in the future. A nice little motel in a cozy little town close to the tourist area...

We stayed one night. Room was clean. It had a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast in the morning. The coffee was very good. Not far from the Santa train and Christmas festivities. No issues. Would stay there again.

The staff was very accommodating was disappointed though because the site told me my card was not be charged for the room would just be used to hold the room and then I could pay when I got there but they charged my card without me knowing and I was told when I got there so I was really upset cuz I wanted to use a different card to pay for the room so it was not happy about that other than that the stay was fine for what I had to use it for it was comfortable I had to check in late and they accommodated me for that even though I had to pay for an extra night even though I wasn't there for the whole day they gave me a late check out which was appreciated there was a couple stink bugs in my room that I had to kill but other than that the room was clean.

Very well lit outside, price is reasonable, parking space right outside your door. My room did not have a coffee maker (some rooms do), but it would be great if all rooms have them. But there are many places close by to get coffee. Would stay here again.
