“Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and well presented even a lovely note was left from the cleaning staff and a welcoming message before arrival was a nice touch. The only thing I could fault is a broken light in our room and if u compare it with a premier inn the bed is much smaller and there is no bath, however it is definitely more modern.”

“Basically you get what you pay for. This is a cheap option in a great location for climbing the Wrekin. The hotel is quite dated, the tv in the room was tricky to operate and the room was noisy (what sounded like a tumble dryer throughout the night). But it was clean and offered value for money.”

“My shower leaked so bathroom floor was wet all the time. There was mould in the shower .no Fridge. There was litter left in one corner of the room . Breakfast was pretty underwhelming but well staffed and managed. The bed was awful , lumpy and uncomfortable. Ill not be staying here again . It was cheap and I know why. “The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...
