“St Andrews has been a favourite of ours since we first visited in 2002. This year has been our 5th visit. We werefortunate enough to book early so we could get a reservation at Martyn's lovely home.The location in the middle of Market street is perfect, just off the street so it is very quiet. “What a wonderful place to stay in Edinburgh! It was so spacious, light, VERY clean, and well stocked! This was our family’s favorite accommodation during our UK trip, and my teen/tween daughters kept raving about how nice it was. We appreciated the many bedrooms and bathrooms and space to spread out. We had one of the bedrooms upstairs set up with two twin beds, instead of a king, which worked well for kids sharing the room. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We enjoyed family movie nights...

“My wife and I enjoyed our stay here! The room is basic but equipped with all the essentials (private entrance, private bathroom, kitchen sink, and fridge). It’s perfect for use as a home base while spending your days out and about. It is very close to a bus stop, about a 4 min walk, which gives easy connection to the rest of the city. The family is very quiet and we were not disturbed at all during our stay. ”

“Kath and Ross were wonderful hosts. Communication was exceptional. Place is exactly as advertised. Location is just a 5 minute walk to all St Andrews has to offer; shopping, restaurants, harbor, Abbey etc. gas station less than a quarter mile away. Food stores Aldi and Morrisons about a mile away. Just a splendid location. Highly recommend and will stay here again when we return! ”

“The property was clean and pretty much as advertised. Note there are not four queen size beds but 2. The cutlery could do with being changed too as it is cheap and not fit for purpose.”

“I cannot really fault my stat here . The house is clean and well presented . Master bedroom has a very large and comfortable bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 singles . The living room is spacious and clean connected to the kitchen/dining area. It is well sited close enough but not in the town with a store within easy walking distance . Would I stay there again ? Most definitely if i could handle the 11 hour journey again . Thankyou ”

“This was a beautiful and architecturally unique home! We had perfect weather and it was so cool to be able to open the sliding doors (which essentially opened an entire corner of the house) and sit with nature 5 minutes outside of the city. We took a couple beautiful walks and it had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The cleanliness of dishes could certainly use some attention but nothing we couldn't work around. "Way too overpriced for the tiny room you get. The bathroom is bigger than the room itself, there’s not enough space to just be! A tiny shelf, a small one door wardrobe… For more than 200€ a night (avg. of 4 nights) it’s a robbery! The floor has never been cleaned in 4 days, when I arrived there was dirt on the bathroom floor and there it stayed the whole duration of the stay. Also, the fixed shower head… can you not update to a flexible one? I know you are not used to bidet but that would be all people would need in order to avoid taking 2 showers a day, consuming tons of water. I Did not buy the breakfast so i can’t judge on that, but I had to pay to leave the luggage on the last day (it’s 1 pound, but still…this have never happened before anywhere I travelled) "
