“The host is amazing, and the hostel offers good value even though, on some evenings, there was a power outage and sometimes we didn’t have water at the property. Overall, it's great, and I will definitely come back when we travel here again.”

“While Karao Hotel may offer budget nightly stays, it offers amazingly large rooms, close vicinity to the Liberia airport, public bus directory in front of Karao, and extraordinary professionally brewed coffee shop and breakfast meals. The (made on premises) breakfast items are inexpensive and high quality. Hope you will enjoy my recent photos of these delights, my companion and I stayed twice in December 2025. Perfect in every way.”

“Our extended family of 12, ages ranging from 17-82, experienced a fabulous few days in Guanacaste using this hidden gem as our home base. We were able to connect easily with the property owner as well as the property hostess before arriving if we had any questions.
