“I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. And don't forget about breakfast. Everyday, we had homemade to order...

“We had a great time at the property. It is a family owned property, very well maintained and managed. The whole family very amicable and friendly. Uncle gave us a free night tour in his garden which was really sweet and informative. Loved the breakfast aunty prepared. Only drawback is the road to property is broken however nothing can match to the great hospitality! Me and wife had a great experience and would recommend everyone to opt for stay at Jardin if you want have an experience of homely...

“My family talked about our wonderful stay here the entire trip. The grounds are incredible! I loved sitting in the rocking chair listening to the man-made waterfall, discovering the rock path with jaw dropping beauty at every turn and enjoying the refreshing pool. “Comfortable cabin in a bit secluded area, in the Costa Rican rainforest. We love peacefulness, quietness and close-to-nature location. Our cabin was clean, spacious, with well functional bathroom and veranda facing wall of lush green rain forest. Tasty breakfast. The managing person is very nice, speaks no English though.”
