Situazione spiacevole ed indecente.
Ho prenotato online la mattina per avere una camera da tre (per me, mia moglie e mio figlio di 14 anni) per la sera stessa. Siamo arrivati in hotel alle 21.30 e, quando ci hanno fatto vedere la camera abbiamo avuto una spiacevole sorpresa: il letto di mio figlio non c'era. Avevano messo un materassino gonfiabile da campeggio a terra sulla moquette! Ho fatto chiamare subito il direttore che mi ha detto che purtroppo c'era stato un errore da parte di Hotels.com perché mi avevano assegnato una camera matrimoniale per tre persone e che siccome avevano l'hotel pieno e non avevano letti da aggiungere e l'unica soluzione che hanno trovato era quella. Prendere o lasciare. Alle 10 di sera, in una zona quasi disabitata, abbiamo accettato malvolentieri quella spiacevole situazione. Era veramente impossibile dormire su quel materassino e alla fine siamo stati costretti a dormire (è un parolone!) in tre nel letto matrimoniale.

Great place, not so great service.
The heaters in the room were not working or not hot enough to heat the room properly. We spent most of the night freezing and had to put on several layers to keep warm. I tried to go out in the lobby and hit the call button for someone but no one answered. In the pub, the bartenders didn’t seem to want to service us. There were only a few people in the pub but trying to wave down the bartender or to try to order something was just ignored. They came over to us when they felt like it. The food was ok, just a bit below par for pub food. It’s a shame because it a beautiful place and a beautiful town, and it’s a cozy inn with a great view. The customer service just needs to come up.

Worth the trip
Amazing location and building. Breakfast included in the price is a boon. Our bedroom did not have a window and thus, was not entirely comfortable.

Great B&B within driving distance of Oban. Food was phenomenal, quiet picturesque area, friendly staff and modern clean rooms.

We are sorry that you felt this way. Since our refurbishment in April / May 2021 no one else has ever made such a comment and as you can appreciate in that time well over a thousand people have stayed in the room you have stayed in. When no one else have ever stated such a thing and given that of our last 20 or so reviews the vast majority have either been 5/5 or 10/10 then we can only put this down to your own personal preference and not matching what you are used to sleeping on at home.

A gem of a find
Fantastic hotel with great food. Quiet when we stayed but assume very busy and buzzing with visitors in the summer due to proximity to the marina.

Beautiful location and very well maintained. Staff very helpful and we particularly enjoyed our evening meals. Downside was that bins in bedrooms not emptied and hospitality tray not refreshed daily

Nice modern room, even at had an Amazon Alexa device. Very friendly and accommodating owner, we had been allocated the table in the restaurant with the best views, but right next to a noisy party of 14 people, without prompting she came over to apologise and ask if we wanted to move to a quieter part of the restaurant. Excellent food.

Go there ! Well worth a stay
We had an absolute fantastic experience with everyone at The Galley of Lorne Inn We were able to book the Iona suite and we had our 1 yr old Boarder Collie with us We are already recommending this lovely place to many family and friends Such a relaxed atmosphere and 5 star service The food is absolutely amazing and so fresh homemade Burgers and local produce highlights the area and the views not just from the restaurant but also the room was breathtaking The staff set up a table for us in the public bar so our boarder collie could experience the company and atmosphere with us,

Don,t tell everyone.
A gem in the country off the main drag. Very welcoming and helpful staff and dog friendly. Great food and the rooms are top notch with great showers. The night I stayed had live music, a bonus.

Just outstanding!
The hotel room we stayed in was Skye, it was very comfortable and room view absolutely stunning! The room was spotless and the staff were just outstanding. The food was delicious. The staff adopted our wee dog and treated her like anotherhumam rather than a dog! Defo will be back

Dark, dinghy and depressing
We were really looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately the hotel were unable to satisfy our dinner reservations due to staffing issues, which happens, but no effort was made to offer alternatives or assistance in arranging an alternative which, due to the hotels remote location, meant an hours drive. Our room was booked for two adults and an 11 year old child but it was far too small. We could barely walk around the beds and could not open the wardrobe. However, the room had recently been refurbished and would have been comfortable for two people. The nice lounge / bar area was reserved for breakfast (no idea why this wasn't served in the restaurant) but was laid for breakfast in the afternoon so we had to sit in the "tap room" iwhich was dark, dirty and had holes in the roof. It was also frequently silent with no atmosphere at all. There was a large and airy restaurant but this was closed off until the last day. On our last evening the restaurant was opened and the environment and staff were nice but it was like having dinner at my Grandma's (I love my grandmother but she was of another time when it came to culinary matters) The staff were very nice overall but the whole place lacked warmth and atmosphere. It was a bit depressing really.
