I only seen and spoke with one person and she was the lady who took my call and checked me in. Before I got there her attitude was rude and ignorant. I would have canceled off that alone but it was non refundable. After I got to the property it was the same rude and ignorant person. It was like I was a bother to her for even being there. Like I wasn’t even a paying guest at a hotel. They also put a hold on my card at the property that was to be released after 11am checkout after housekeeping gets in and cleans your room. Which 1 is way more than what I even paid for the room and 2 a complete lie. Apparently housekeeping does not clean rooms until days after checkout. I had a bad feeling checking in so before I even left my room I made sure to take a short video and pictures before I left the room. Which shows me leaving the room, hotel and property. Because this is how the staff made me feel. Make sure you protect yourself and provide evidence. That is just insane to me that I even felt the need to do that after being a paying customer. Maybe they should stick to just running the night club downstairs because the hospitality aspect of the hotel is not for her. Or maybe replace the person running the hotel section because the staff in the bar area where all nice and amazing. I felt more like a burden than a guest and I felt the need to protect my money with video evidence. Unacceptable and there are way nicer hotels in the area with even nicer staff.

All of above, I arrived at 2pm to check out hotel and maybe check in early and the doors we're locked. I saw a gentleman outside loading supplies out of a truck into hotel side door he told me oh check in isn't till 4pm. So yo can't even get in lobby till 4pm. At least you can get in the lobby of motel 6 early. I prepaid $418.00 for two nights. I got old claw tub with a shower curtain hanging on a frame attached to the ceiling by a old chain and screw hook, a sink that had no stopper and a rusted out drain. A space heater on wheels if I needed it the AC was a portable one that sat on the floor with a 6 foot hose going out the bottom of the window through a piece of plywood. All the walls had peeling paint and fixtures had old paint over them. The TV, space heater and AC were all hooked together with a extension cord hanging in the middle of the room. There was leak in the lobby roof above the desk with a tub catching the water. The steps going up to the room from lobby were old and slick definitely a hazard. The heat that was in the room cam through a 3-4 inch hole in wall next to bed with screen over it and no thermostat or way to control it. When it did kick on it sounded like a plane engine started up. Personally I am a retired veteran with 30 years of service and if I was in charge of something like that I'd blow it up! My favorite was a 1x6 rough cut peice of wood trim that ran halfway up the wall to secure the deadbolt and extra security slide with different screws

Honestly, If I could put zero stars I would. I was booked to stay at The Historic Fallon Hotel this weekend Friday, October 10th - Sunday October 12th. The only thing historic about this hotel maybe the mold and mildew that is growing in this place. On our way up we called to see if they offered early check in and the answer was of course for $50.00 really! Like I didn't spend enough money on this dump as it is. So my husband and I decided to fore go the $50.00 and go see our son first. We arrived back at the Historic Fallon after 9:00PM to check in was asked to put a credit card on file, but couldn't use my Apple card had to hand over the numbers for my Apple card because there was no machine to put the card into. The card had to manually be typed in little weird that the woman made a comment about my credit limit. NO WORRIES. I CHANGED the card number. The woman handed us the keys and proceed to walk us to the room. In the hallway were gray bins blocking part of the pathway and right at the end of the hallway was a plastic tarp saying DO NOT ENTER under renovation. and right there my room. Nothing like pictured. Would love to see those rooms. Toilet paper sitting on top of the back of the toilet, sink rusted, mold in the shower, space heater in the bedroom providing heat. The closet had hangers with hangers hanging on two hooks and hangers on the floor. A carpet tack strip. A huge gap under the door. A bee in the room which I am allergic too. A night club/bar playing music

It was fun to stay in such an old exquisite hotel. The owner was very helpful and escorted us to our room. The Wi-Fi password was easily obtained. And the beds were very soft and cushioned and received a great nights rest.

When I got there to check in, no one was at the front desk. I called the number and reached someone and told them I was there for check-in, they said someone would be there and then after five minutes I called again and then someone came out of a room right across the hall. They showed me to a room that, the bed was OK apart from the curly hair I found in my sheets, but the main issue was the bathroom. The tiles on the wall were smashed and broken, there’s a depression on the floor, where it weirdly sinks in? I couldn’t use the shower because the drain (and whole floor) was totally caked over in some random gunk? The sink also was caked with maybe lime? And just so dirty. In spite of not using the shower, somehow the whole bathroom floor still ended up soaking wet from some leak. Also, if you get a room on the first floor, and it’s an interior room, your window backs up against the deck of one of their bars. Do not expect to sleep if you get a first floor room because the smoking area of the bar is immediately outside the windows of the first floor rooms. When I went to the front desk, it was empty again, after someone finally found someone and I asked if I could switch rooms because I had an early wake up, they said they were full, so couldn’t switch me, but don’t worry because they close that part of the bar at midnight. Apparently, this hotel thinks it’s OK for people in the first floor to have tons of people right outside their rooms because by midnight, they will stop.
I opened my curtain when I heard the loud conversation. This person is right outside. That’s what you get in a first floor room

Room for Improvement

When we arrived, we were surprised that there was no sign on the building saying Fallon Hotel. No one was at the desk and no one answered the phone number provided. I went into the bar, asking for assistance. 3 young women came out to assure us we would get the keys soon. Finally a young man came out and actually helped us take baggage upstairs. He brought in a box fan to supplement the ceiling fan. Issues - there was only 1 available outlet and it was near the floor, no outlet in the bathroom or hooks to hang towels, t he shower head was stationary and awkward, there were no cups to go with the ice bucket provided, no coffee maker, no clock and we couldn't turn off the overhead light without turning off the fan, so we slept with the bright light on. The good aspects - the bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels were clean and soft.

I’m not one to leave negative reviews out of spite. I genuinely believe in “you get what you pay for” and usually keep quiet if I don’t have something nice to say. But in this case, I feel compelled to be honest. The Fallon Hotel is old. Not “charming historic” old, but more like my grandmother’s house that hasn’t seen an update since the 1950s. Think clawfoot tubs, single-socket outlets, pull-chain 40-watt bulbs, separate hot and cold faucets, and drafty wood-frame windows. It looks like there are some efforts at renovation, but it feels very budget-driven and incomplete. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, but that was the one bright spot in a room that otherwise felt old, worn, and noisy. When I woke up in the morning, I didn’t have any urge to relax or linger; it was more like, pack up and get out as quickly as possible. If you’re looking for basic lodging and don’t mind an environment that’s truly dated, this place might work. But if you’re expecting comfort, charm, or even a modestly updated room, you’ll likely be disappointed.

This is an old hotel in need of extensive renovation. Room was clean. Bed was very soft. There weren’t many outlets and no WiFi. Proprietor was gracious.

It was noisy (Until 4am, due to the bar downstairs.) Hotel staff was not very available upon check-in or check-out. Bed was clean and comfortable. Will not be staying her again.

Please read all the reviews!!!!!!

I wish I had read the other reviews. The hotel does not match the photos nor the description. There is no restaurant and one big loud bar. They blared the music till 2am, you won't sleep. There was never anyone at the front desk, not for check in or out or to ask any questions. And half the place looks like it's been under construction for the last year. The only positives were the big comfy bed, historic charm and lovely bar tenders.

The location is great, there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance and there’s a nice trail along the river nearby. They seem to have a lot of events, so when the check-in clerk saw how tired I was after a day of driving, they very thoughtfully changed me to a room further away from the noise. However, when I woke up early and went down, there was no one at the desk or answering the phone and the front door was locked and seemingly couldn’t be opened from the inside. I had to find a side door in the bar to get out, and when I came back an hour later it was all still locked and empty, so I just left my key at the desk.

Niteclub Downstairs open until 2am on Thursday and Friday 4am on Saturday. Base kept me up until the DJ Stoped.

Decent older hotel going through a renovation. There is nightlife on the ground floor so perhaps not the best for light sleepers, I had no issue.
