“Peaceful, friendly - a great place to escape for a weekend. The grounds are lovely and great views of the Cleddau and countryside ”

“I booked a single room which was ok. A little tired but obviously, the main rooms with a view possibly being sorted first. The other rooms left early in the morning and left the doors slam which kept me awake from the early hours. Door fixings need to b more gentle when they close. I did ring down to reception but failed to get an answer as I was having trouble with the tv remote. Unable to get the volume increased. I’m sure, in time, all the rooms will b renovated.”

“Really enjoyable stay. Hotel and rooms have been modernised and look great, aside from a few creaky floorboards! Very quiet when we stayed (missed the nightclub by one day fortunately). Perfect location for the town, castle, river, etc. Knocked off a mark for service as there's not a lot of staff around, but you can call for help if needed (but we didn't need to as it happened).”

“The reception staff were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble. I left my phone charger at home and they lent me one for the weekend. The room was a single and clean, although the decor was dated (the description did say it was a Victorian building). I had breakfast both mornings at The Galley Restaurant which was an all you can eat. The food was hot and fresh and had everything you would expect for a buffet restaurant. I also ate in the hotel for the Saturday evening and was made to feel...
