Situated on the first floor of a secure gated development very close to transport links and within easy walking distance of great restaurants, pubs, supermarkets & general stores, this property is perfectly located for those wishing to visit Central London & the West End of London. It is approximately a 5 min bus ride from major transport connections at Elephant & Castle. There is secure, free off - street parking within the development & is located just outside the London Congestion Charge Zone. The apartment benefits from an elevator & step free access from street level. The property has wood flooring through out and a modern tiled bathroom with shower & full sized bath tub.

There is a private, south west-facing, terrace with a dining table that can seat 4. The apartment can be arranged as a 2 double bed or a double bedroom & a bedroom with twin beds. The property comes with combi gas central-heating. There is a large, open-plan, fully fitted kitchen with modern amenities inc washer dryer, microwave, dishwasher, gas hob & electric oven, granite work tops with a breakfast bar.

The sitting room has a large 3 seater leather sofa and a 2 seater leather sofa-bed. It also benefits from a digital TV with multiple free channels as well subscription services ( own account required ). There is also a dining table for which seats 4. There is Superfast WiFi through out the property.

The pros: Friendly host and great communication prior to arrival and during stay. Great location for exploring the main sights of London by public transport, we mainly did the 15-20 minute walk to Kennington tube. Got to most places in central London easily within 50 minutes. Great option for secure parking. Good space for 3/4 people, feels like staying in someone’s house, plenty of kitchen equipment, places to sit, tv and books etc. our little girl loved the little toys available. Welcome touches very much appreciated (croissants, orange juice, milk, coffee, toilet rolls etc!)Cons: needs a deep clean! Kitchen cupboards full of food and crumbs etc. needed to give it a wipe down when we arrived. Outside chairs all broken & outside table also a bit tired! Floors looked clean but left our socks black after walking around. Double bed really uncomfortable. On the first night we discovered there are two old very soft mattresses one on top of the other, so removed one which made it possible to sleep on but a new mattress would definitely help! The only ventilation in the double room is a door which opens to a communal outdoor corridor. Not many people seem to pass by but we didn’t feel comfortable leaving it open at night and it was unusually hot for London when we arrived (30 degrees some nights). Fans provided which helped us be able to cope with the heat and host also checked in with us about it. All round recommended for the decent price, but take in account the cons.

The place has good bones and is reasonably well equipped. That said, needs some TLC and a major clean (bathroom door is covered in mold, multiple chairs on balcony broken, toys provided were thickly covered in dust, screws on most door handles sticking out, etc.).Jonnie, the owner, is great, though. We had a problem with the hot water cutting out multiple times (I'm told the boiler has since been replaced) and he came to the flat three times at a weekend to get it restarted, and refunded us a night for the inconvenience. Good communication despite VRBO randomly stopping sending both of us email notifications.Walworth Road is not the shiniest of neighbourhoods, but full of great, authentic restaurants and shops and very well connected by buses to the rest of the city.

The property had everything we needed and was conveniently located close to friends we were visiting. Great spot to have meals in or relax in the evening and play a game or read a book. Clear check in process and directions and really conveniently close to lots of transit. Jonnie went out of his way to communicate in advance of our visit, even though he was dealing with a stolen phone! Would definitely book again.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Jonnie geliebt, weshalb der nächste auch schon gebucht ist, diesmal gleich eine ganze Woche.Der größte Pluspunkt: die Lage. Tritt man vor die Tür, empfängt einen augenblicklich pulsierendes Londoner Alltagsleben (komplett untouristisch) mit Straßenmarkt, vielen kleinen Geschäften und guter Busanbindung. Klar, all dies samt Sirenen hört man auch in der Wohnung. Und die Themse ist schon einen Fußweg von ca. 40 min. entfernt. Uns hat beides aber nicht gestört.Zweiter Pluspunkt: ein abgesperrter Parkplatz im Hof, auf dem auch Vans parken können. Wo findet man das in London ohne Aufpreis?Sehr liebe Geste: In der Küche warteten viele Lebensmittel auf uns.Als Rollstuhlfahrerin muss ich sagen: Wir kamen gut klar. Allerdings ist für den Weg von der Haus- zur Wohnungstür eine Begleitung für die vielen schweren Türen dringend erforderlich. Und Menschen mit Elektro-Rollstühlen dürften nicht um die vielen Ecken kommen.

The flat is lovely and located in a perfect spot - an easy walk to groceries and other amenities and a short bus ride to Elephant & Castle Station. Getting to Central London was always easy. The flat is clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony on which we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. But perhaps the best part of this booking is the host -- he was always quick to respond to messages and incredibly accommodating when a flight delay caused us to change plans. I'd definitely recommend this spot when visiting London!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l'appartement de Jonnie. Très propre, bien équipé et bien insonorisé, il est situé seulement à 10 minutes à pied de la plus proche station de métro et à moins de 1 minute d'un arrêt de bus. Jonnie nous a très bien accompagné durant le séjour et très bien indiqué l'emplacement de l'appartement De plus le check-in et check out s'est fait de façon automatique sans aucune difficulté. Nous recommandons vivement cette location !! Gérald

Lage war super, schnell in der Innenstadt. Parken war super und die Aufteilung der Wohnung schon sehr schön. Die Wohnung ist aber teilweise sehr renovierungsbedürftig, was einen sehr schlechten Eindruck macht. Das Elternbett mit zwei ausgelaugten Matratzen sehr fragwürdig. Die Beschreibung zur Ankunft und für den Check Inn dagegen wieder super.

No surprises Our host Jonnie was great to work with. He added some mobility aids to the bathroom to make it easier to use the shower (grab bars). Location worked well for the event we were attending. Nice to try a new area of London. Burgess Park was very nice.

Prompt friendly responsive host who offered us an early check in and late checkout. Croissants and OJ welcomed us on our arrival. Apartment was clean and secure and easily accessible. Good size for 4 people. Walk from Kennington tube station is faster and nicer through the suburb otherwise follow Jonnie’s instructions to catch bus from Elephant and Castle
