The Cottage By The Gulf - Just Steps To The Beach!

The Cottage By The Gulf is a charming two-bedroom cottage just two blocks from the sandy beaches of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Begin the day with an early walk or bike ride to the beach and fresh salt water air or stroll down and enjoy dinner on the Gulf while watching an amazing sunset.
This quaint little cottage is tastefully decorated and offers all the amenities of home. We provide free high-speed internet and you can stream your favorite Netflix and Prime Shows on the Smart TV’s. Dine out at one of the fabulous local restaurants or prepare the meals in the fully equipped kitchen – coffee maker, blender, utensils, etc. There is also a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience. The dining table is the perfect spot to enjoy meals or play your favorite card game. Each of the two-bedrooms have a Queen size bed with comfortable mattresses that will assure you a relaxing and peaceful night’s sleep. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo for a quick shower or if you want to just relax and soak in a tub you can do that too! The back yard is fully fenced so you can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening.
Full-service grocery store, restaurants, and shops just blocks away. Lots of entertainment along the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast whether you are interested in the beach, nightlife, casinos, The Mississippi Aquarium, taking a Ship Island excursion, etc. The “FIRST FRIDAY” Downtown Long Beach Block Party- The event runs May thru November. An evening long event centered on the Towne Green Park and surrounding area that features a live band, classic car show/display and booths from local vendors. There is a Farmers market every Saturday morning in the main City Park. Fresh, local produce, honey, beef, dairy products, & arts and crafts. A little something for everyone!

The Cottage was delightful.

The cottage was exactly as described and such a delight. I enjoyed my stay. It was so relaxing. The neighborhood was quaint and the people were so engaging. I just loved everything about it. The host had everything ready and there were no issues during my stay. I have recommended this listing to my friends and will book again when I am in need of a place in the area.

A great place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The home was immaculate, and the beds were so comfortable. We really enjoyed the reclining sofa! The kitchen was well stocked - we had everything we needed and more. The location is perfect- you can walk to the beach, church, and restaurants. Grocery stores and other shops close by. Teri and Colin are the best hosts! If we ever travel to Long Beach, MS again, we will stay at Cottage by the Gulf - loved it!

Cozy, clean cottage

Cottage was very clean and check in/out was easy. Owner was very accommodating with pets. Snacks were provided. Cottage by the Gulf is a little misleading. It’s 3 blocks inland. TV service in the cottage was challenging.

Weekend getaway

A friend and I wanted to go to the beach and this was closer for the weekend. Terri was great to deal with and the property had everything that we needed. The beach was beautiful and close. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great cottage in a great beach town!

We loved our time here! This house is well kept & in a great location. The neighborhood is quiet, but just blocks from fun restaurants and the beach! On our arrival, we happened upon the “First Fridays” night in town square with lots of music and cool old cars. The owners are very accessible for questions and I appreciate the amenities (coffee in filters, snacks, Netflix and a handwritten note). We would definitely stay here again if we pass through!

Adorable Beach Cottage

It was so nice to see what a warm inviting beach cute cottage this house was where you could literally see the beach down the street. We had a basket of snacks and a bag of ice waiting for us which was a nice treat. Each room has a television as well which wasn’t stated and I need to hear the sound of a tv when I sleep so that was a big plus for me. The house was super cute!!! Perfect get away and much nicer than being in a hotel. Thank you so much for allowing us to bring our little dachshund. We found out she thinks she is a Labrador. We already knew she liked playing fetch and now she also loves swimming. 😂

Wee loved everything about thos property. This was our first time to Long Beach and it was a celebration trip for my daughters graduation from high school. Plenty of room for us, super clean, close enough to walk to the beach, and plenty of places to eat. We will be back! Thank you Mrs.Teri for everything!

Relaxing

One of the quietest and peaceful stay we have ever had on the Mississippi gulf coast. Excellent location to the event we was attending. Walking distance to downtown Long Beach. Loved so much we already have it booked for same Time next year.

So clean!

2 short blocks to the ocean. The fruit was a nice surprise. Super clean and quiet neighborhood. In 2 nights, I only heard the train once. We were in town for a family function and when we come back we hope this place will still be available because we would love to return!
