The house was neat and clean, and while there are imperfections, they simply add to the charm of a historic home. The house is within a short drive (though it can definitely be walked) to downtown Bardstown with all its shops, bars, and restaurants. We have stayed many places that have been wonderful and unique, but if we only ever stayed one place this would be it.As you might imagine in a place with little hobbit hole like rooms much of the decor somehow relates to Lord of the Rings.
