“Asked for housekeeping but only received it one out of three days. No ice in freezer upon arrival; had to make our own cubes and wait. Good-sized rooms; good bed. Would have liked a wand in the shower”

“Nice hotel with spacious, clean & secure rooms right in the heart of downtown Edmonton. Easy walk to various restaurants & only a 10min walk to Rogers Arena for anyone taking in sporting events or concerts.”

“Location was amazing. No a/c so exceptionally hot in May!!! Parking for $20/day was 2 blocks away. Room seemed a bit dusty and a bit dated.”

“Overall a nice stay. Clean room, everything worked. Food was decent (burger very good). The proximity of the smaller bar area to the foyer's outside doors made dining while watching some sports quite cold with people coming in and out of the hotel.”

“Location was great, front desk staff were lovely. Room was clean however the AC/fan did NOT work so it made for a hot and stuffy room (thank god the windows opened). Bed was pretty stiff and not the most comfortable. They are doing reno’s so hopefully these issues get resolved!”

“The rooms are very basic, clean, comfortable bed, very affordable with restrooms and showers down the hall. If you simply require a place to sleep in the Whyte Ave. neighbourhood, the Commercial is a good option. The historic pub downstairs is a bonus. Lots of dining spots within a couple of blocks, plus the nearby Farmers Market, bookshops, and many great local businesses. ”

“The hotel itself was good, but the parking situation needs improvement. Staff told me which floor to use, but there were no signs showing how to actually get there. It ended up being confusing enough that I had to walk down the block to figure it out. There should be clearer signage directing guests to the parking areas—especially for the oversized vehicle parking garage. It would also help to have proper directions on how to get to and from the garage once you’re on the property. Overall, not...
