I’m not sure what went wrong, but when I arrived to check in, they couldn’t find my reservation. Apparently their system didn’t have the information from Expedia. It took almost two hours for them to try to resolve the issue, and during that time I had to go back to my car, drive around, and sit on hold while going back and forth with customer service.
I was told an escalating manager would call me back, but that never happened. By the time two hours had passed, I no longer felt comfortable staying there.
What made the situation worse was the lack of ownership from the staff. Imagine flying from Atlanta to Lubbock for a black-tie event later that afternoon, arriving around 3 PM expecting to check into your room to rest and prepare, only to get stuck in a customer service loop instead.
Overall it was a very frustrating experience. No one seemed concerned that I ended up losing money because of it.
