“The room was large, spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and clean! We loved it so much we stayed an extra night! It also is very centrally located in town so we were able to walk to restaurants and shopping. Thank you! And we will stay there again when we’re in Solvang. Carolyn Perone”

“Hotel is within walking distance to downtown area, which is convenient. The hotel is supposed to be smoke free, but we kept getting cigarette smoke odor in our room. The bed was uncomfortable and lumpy. The AC/heater unit is very loud when it's on. The shower pressure is extremely strong, felt like little pin pricks. The bath towels are gross, they are supposed to be white, they are so dingy, they look gray. I'm so glad I always travel with my own towel! Overall I would not stay here again.”

“This is a well located property, cute and charming. The only issue was the area is loud given its centered in the heart of Solvabg. It’s best to have double-paned windows. Also, bed was not good.”

“The Marlo is a nice place to stay overall. The location is great, just short walk distance from the downtown, but away from a busyness of it. The rooms were clean with plenty of space (we stayed at Higge Courtyard room). I'm not sure why there was only a lamp on one of the nightstands but not on the other, so I had to walk in a dark to my side of the bed after turning the light off for the night. The reason for 4 stars is that, unfortunately, the walls between the rooms (not within the suite...

“Hotel nice and clean, spacious room. welcome and service to forget. we arrived tired and Hungry, we had to wait several minutes before we could check in because the girls at the desk was chatting with her smatphone. we hoped than to eat something at the restaurant but they told us that the entrance was not allowed to people under 21. when booking i did not find this information online, with two minor daughters I would not go there.keep in mind this information if you have minor children.”

“They have a beautiful swimming pool but it’s closed. Couldn’t get a straight answer why it was off limits. It was obviously maintained very well. Beautiful gardens.”
