Cute cabin!
We wanted a cabin stay to decompress after spring break in DC. Nice and relaxing. The fire pit was our favorite thing. Cabin is accurately described. Charming! Beds were comfy. Neighbors have a barking dog that woke us up one night-not sure what that was about. Master bathroom has been nicely updated. We didn’t do much in the area except Storybook trail (teens love the rock scrambling).

Cute Getaway Cabin
This was a great property and well suited for our weekend away. The house was clean and nicely decorated. We especially loved the hot tub and proximity to Shenandoah for hiking.

Cabin stay
The home was a nice and quiet retreat in the woods. The property manager was quick to respond to some of the issues that existed when we arrived. When we checked in, the screen door was lying on the back patio and no firewood was available on the porch. Property description did not reflect that renters needed to put sheets and blankets on the beds upon arrival. She explained the reason why, but after traveling all day, that was the last thing we wanted to do. Well water is the primary source of water for the house. It has a slight sulphur taste and smell, so it may not be suitable for drinking, in our opinion. Despite these comments, we enjoyed our stay at the cabin.

Great trip

Wonderful getaway
Cute and cozy cabin in the woods. Exactly how we envisioned it. Our family had an amazing experience in Shenandoah Valley. I’ve been visiting this location for the past 10 years, and this was the best experience so far. Cabin was comfortable, clean, and decorated thoughtfully. We will be back again!

Shenandoah family trip
Our family of four had a perfect vacation based at this great cabin. It was well positioned for our day trips but also too cozy not to want to spend days there too. Such care is given to guest experience and providing an amazing vacation home.

Absolutely Amazing
The cabin was decorated adorably with their Decour throughout. It is very well-maintained and clean. It has all the amenities you would need. It is close to Hall activities in the surrounding areas. My friend and I enjoyed horseback, riding and river tubing in the George, Washington national forest. We have highly recommended this cabin to our friends and family. The owners are very quick to get back to you if you have any questions or concerns also. Will definitely book this cabin again in the future.

Peaceful, Secluded
If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you’d be hard pressed to find a more idyllic setting than Cozy Bear Cabin. There are neighbors, but you won’t see them (at least not when the leaves are on the trees, as they were during our stay.). The wind in the trees and birdsong is a pleasant backdrop when you sit on the porch, by the fire circle, or in the hot tub. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Lovely little cottage
My family and I enjoyed our stay at Cozy Bear Cottage! The extra little amenities and comforts of home were so appreciated! We plan to visit Shenadoah again in the future and plan on staying at Cozy Bear Cottage when we do!

Spring break Getaway
Chose this property due to its proximity to Luray Caverns. Property was very clean and as advertised. Cabin had everything we needed for a quick 2-night stay. Hot tub was a bonus, and the fire pit was great on a cool night.

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The folks who own this cabin care a lot about it, and all the details and comforts show what good people they are. It's quiet and secluded, yet still close to Luray cabins and the town. I loved the little hand painted pig on the skillet over the stove. We played lots of board games on the large kitchen table, made some great breakfasts and enjoyed a soak in the hot tub. We all had a great birthday there, and I highly recommend this cabin if you're looking for a special spot.

Winter Getaway!
The property was immaculate and had everything that we could possibly need. The owners were very easy to communicate with. They provided very detailed ideas of places to eat, things to see and suggestions for hiking trails. Would highly reccomend!

Autumn getaway
Great time of the year to spend in the colorful mountains with family. Cozy Bear Cottage was the perfect size for our family of 6 with all the amenities. Very comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the area Luray Caverns, Garden maze, winery, restaurants, hiking and Skyline Drive. 100% recommended.

Wonderful cabin in the woods
This property is beautiful with everything you need to enjoy a long weekend or week away from it all. It is very clean and fully outfitted with nice furniture, cute decorations (many bear themed items...) and all accessories needed for cooking etc. We had a great time exploring the area around Luray and the Shenandoah's as well as just hanging out at the cabin and enjoying the quiet of the front porch, hot tub, and the firepit at night. It is a few miles off the highway but not a problem at all to get to and very private once there. We highly recommend the property!

Amazing Getaway Cabin
This is seclusion at its best. My family thoroughly enjoyed every moment in and outside the cottage. The hot tub is amazing and was very clean. Just a 10min drive to Luray Caverns and about 40 to Masanutten Ski Resort which we enjoyed in Sunday since it snowed overnight. The fireplace is amazing and was so nice to sit around with my family while enjoying hot cocoa provided by the host via Kurig.

Completely amazing
My husband & I took our 1st anniversary trip here to celebrate 18 years of marriage! The hosts, the area, & this cabin were exceptional & made this trip a desire for our anniversary every year! We will most definitely be back! My only regret is that our stay wasn't longer. Our drive was 3.5 hrs to get there & we only stayed 2 nights. If you are debating on whether or not to choose this cabin, go ahead & do it before someone else snags it. The hot tub was a treasure! No complaints from us at all!!!! Merry Christmas! Nice place to visit
Most of the time the only sounds to hear are nature, however the neighbors do tend to play music at night till 10ish and the mowers will start around 7 AM. These things did not bother us but wanted others to know what to expect. Other than that we enjoyed the cabin very much and the area is loaded with fun things to do and great local restaurants.

Great family get-a-way
Our family had a very nice stay at Cozy Bear Cottage. We enjoyed the seclusion of the cottage and my 7 year old confirmed that the cottage truly felt "cozy". There were a few lights burned out over the stove and the sink. I believe they are about to close for maintenance so those should not be an issue once replaced and overall did not bother us too much. The fire pit and hot tub were an added bonus and it was very convenient to have the linens, towels, shampoo and basic soaps provided. We made a lot of memories both at the cottage and nearby attractions. We will definitely consider returning in the future!

Very cozy, well stocked, cabin. A lot of extra touches to include: labeled lights, lotions, nightlights, and the decorated bear theme. Convenient and safe location. We loved it!

Great place to stay!
Our family needed a place to get away where we didn’t have to worry about being around other people. This place is perfect for those just looking to relax. Size was perfect for our family (6 people). Would definitely recommend.

Secluded peaceful stay
The place is really nice and clean! My kids loved the fire pit where they were able to roast the s’mores every night. The owner is very responsive and they provide clean towels and linens for you to use as well as shampoo and wash, etc. The hot tub is nice to have as well and we actually really like how clean it was kept and our kids did the prewash to maintain the cleanliness of the jacuzzi. Overall really quiet peaceful stay in the woods where the kids can enjoy nature. Oh the tv sound in the living room is a little wacky sometimes... but obviously we didn’t stay at the cabin for the tv :)

You won't be disappointed
The property was well maintained. The cottage is charming, clean and the furnishings are nice with lots of ceiling fans as well as air conditioning which is important during the hot, humid summertime. The beds were very comfortable. The only hiccup we had was that we were not aware there is a fee for internet and Wi-Fi. However, the owners were very quick to respond to us and rectified the situation to our satisfaction. It is also appreciated that the owners share recommendations for places to hike, restaurants and things to see. We enjoyed our stay.

Our Birthday Getaway
This property is beautiful . We enjoyed everything about it. If you want a nice relaxing quite place to relax I would definetly recommend. The hot tub , fire pit was so relaxing. Thank you mel nd Marty chavers for opening up your home. We will be back.
