Everything was amazing. It was a quiet and relaxing vacation in a great place. Nice and secluded just overlooking the Shenandoah River. The Host was Amazing and we lived that it was pet friendly.

Beautiful peaceful property! Loved the wrap around porch and morning sunrise. I would love to visit this home in the fall to see the colorful trees. We saw bald eagles, baby foxes and so many other birds. This was a very peaceful stay. Close enough to town but pretty secluded. We would absolutely return.

Peaceful Retreat

Very quiet, it’s a shared driveway, but you wouldn’t know once you’re there. It’s very secluded but also close to some great places. The hot tub was amazing, and a very cozy place for our honeymoon.

We had a good time at the Lodge. The weather ended up being warmer than expected, so we got to enjoy hiking and seeing the caverns. The Lodge sits on top of a very steep hill, with a beautiful view. The steep drops made enjoying the property with an active toddler pretty nerve wracking. I thought there would be much more for her to explore on the farm. The hot tub, pots and pans, and the blankets could have used a second cleaning before we arrived. Overall, it was a cozy cabin and lovely long weekend!

Beautiful mountain house!

We enjoyed our stay in Luray Virginia. Especially love the wraparound deck and view from it. Just remember to bring your own towels and bedsheets and remember the house does not have a Wi-Fi connection.

The Perfect Weekend Away

We enjoyed recharging our batteries with our weekend at the lodge. Beautiful home and views. We loved sitting at the firepit catching up with our dear friends who came along with us. Lots of fresh air and laughter. If you need a get away, I highly recommend this home.

Great Family Vacation

This was exactly what we were looking for in a family vacation. The cabin was spacious, clean, and secluded. The wrap around deck was perfect and the views were amazing. The location was ideal It’s ten minutes from downtown Luray and 20 min from the Thornton Gap park entrance. Patricia was an excellent host, when we found out the first morning that the coffee pot was cracked she ran a new one up to us that morning. I can’t recommend this enough for a family retreat.

The BEST Vacation Ever!

The property is very spacious and beautifully designed. The sunsets and night star gazing were a few of our favorite views. We were able to bring our cats and they had the time of their lives exploring around the few rooms they had access to. This was the most relaxing and amazing trip we have had. I highly recommend this cabin. We will be returning with our son next year.

Great Location

If you are a hiker this location is perfect for the Thortan Gap entrance to the Shenandoah National Park. Mary’s rock was a beautiful hike, Dark hollow falls and Stoney Man are all close by. House meets your needs for an easy weekend getaway totally unplugged. No WiFi.

Luray Duathlon weekend getaway!

Great cabin with a beautiful view, hot tub, and river access! We drove down to another spot that was easier to access the river, but loved our stay in the lodge! We hope to book again in the future! No complaints other than the steep walk down to the river from the house. 👍

Cabin is great! Awesome view outside via large wrap around porch. Campfires in the evening. Kids catching crawdads and fishing on the beautiful river down the hill behing the cabin. Super safe, super quiet. 20-25 min drive to Shenadoah River Outfitters for rafting/tubing and about the same to get to Skyline Drive. Lots of stores (big box and local) are convenient within a couple miles. Overall great location and great cabin. Super easy and cozy

The location was ideal. The cabin was clean. The description does not say it does not include linens. It says "and also lining provided 25 per set", which was unclear. It says it sleeps 6 but there not enough bath towels for 6. The washcloths that were there were damp. It appears to us that the dryer vent is clogged preventing clothes from fully drying. Well water was not specified and a member of our party was sensitive. The carpenter bees kept us from enjoying the decking outside.

Beautiful

We had such an amazing time. The lodge is gorgeous and super clean. The view is just… wow. We were able and approved to bring our dogs which was very important for me. We set up their crates with protective floor padding under, the cabin has wood floors, so I wanted to make sure all was safe. Remember to bring your bedding and towels, including hand and dish towels, too. Walmart and Food Lion are super close as well as the Caverns and other museums with fun gift shops. Have a fun and relaxing time! Thank you!

Luray Getaway

This is a charming log cabin. It had all the essentials and the views are amazing. I would love to come back in the Spring! Great place to get away and relax.
